Very good soup. Chilli version is nice but not spicy enough (even with lots of Chilli). I guess because they also sell laksa and Chilli mee, the ingredients they give is the same of all types of noodles, just with different soup or gravy. Of all the ingredients they pump into your bowl, I love their soft ribs ingredient most!!查看更多

Their chilli mee is the only one in Singapore. Love their chilli so much with a bit of satay taste, don't know why. Their portion very generous with ribs, prawns, fish cake, tau pok and egg added with lots of chilli for $3, their soup also very tasty with prawn and ribs. i like this stall very much, got to be patient with them and nice food are meant to be waited. Their chilli indeed are unique and nice.查看更多

I ordered the chilli prawn mee with bee hoon, topped with pork ribs, fish cake, tau pok and prawn. the Chili is the main attaraction in the bowl. It was not overwhelming and blends well with the nobee hoon to create a nice flavour that accentuates the taste of the bee hoon. THe chilli and the mee combined was so good, it leaves you wanting more. The soup was also impressive with the pleasant and distinct herb aroma. A good complement to the bowl of noodles. 查看更多

One of my ex-colleagues who is pregnant has a craving for Prawn Mee, so the usual ‘lunch team’ of friends has to accompany and drive her all the way from bukit timah area to golden mile food centre just to eat the famous Chung Cheng Prawn Mee. I ordered Dried Pork and Prawn with yellow noodle.Oh gosh, I told uncle ‘chilli put abit’ but ended up have one big pool of chili on my noodle , he may have heard it as “chilli put abit more”. Overall noodle is slighty too oily and salty for my liking but the prawn is big and fresh, pork soft bone is soft and tender. I like their prawn soup which is very flavourful and heavy aroma of prawns. 查看更多

This is a must eat stall whenever i am in this area. I went for dinner at about 7.30 pm. The stall was about to close. I ordered a big bowl of noodle ($4) that came with a lot of ingredients like pork ribs, prawns, boiled egg and beansprouts. I asked for extra chilli and they gave it generously. The chilli is not spicy at all. The soup given with the noodle has a nice prawn taste. Nice dinner. 查看更多

The FoodI ordered the chilli kway teow mee covered with ingredients like soft pork ribs, eggs slices, fish cake, tau pok, some lettuce, bean sprouts and of course prawns. The chilly is spicy that instantly tingled my taste bud. The pork ribs are soft and tender and fresh too. The soup is not rich and decent enough with prawn and pork stock adding some flavour to it.Overall, taste wise is still very decent and worth to try. The ServiceWaiting time is quite fast and served to my table within 5minsThe AmbienceAs the stall is in hawker center, i find that the place was well-ventilated and not stuffyThe PriceReasonably priced at $3 per bowlOverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this!查看更多

Chung Cheng Chilli Mee.Prawn Mee.Laksa frequently caught my attention whenever I walk pass the stall in Golden Mile Food Centre (Beach Road Army Market). Why? Well 2 reasons. Firstly, there is always a perpetual queue. Secondly, they sell Chilli Mee. (my thought was 'what the hell is Chilli Mee?') They also sell Prawn Mee and Laksa besides Chilli Mee. Chilli Mee is their speciality.I have never heard of Chilli Mee before and decided to try it out one day.Perpetual queue at the stall, waited about 20 minutes. Below the signboard are displays of magazines and newspaper articles featuring this stall. At last, it is my turn to order!Chilli Mee served with a bowl of prawn soup. The Chilli Mee consist of prawns, fish cakes, tau pork, pork ribs, bean sprouts, slices of hard boiled egg, yellow noodles and the chilli paste. What a unique combination and generous portion of ingredients for just $4. Give it a good mix to ensure that all ingredients are well coated with the chilli paste. The main ingredient in this case will be the chilli paste. It was an awesome combination of sweetness and spiceness. It was not overly spicy and I found myself walking over to the stall to request for more chilli paste halfway into this meal. Shiok!! It was made from belachan, garlic, onion, shrimp, chilli and other spices. I also like the pork ribs as they were cooked till soft, tender and savory. But the prawns were disappointing, meat was chewy and soft; not fresh.Overall, the Chilli Mee was unique and really delicious! Foodies should give this a try, you never know what you are missing till you try it.Detailed review: http://foodiefc.blogspot.sg/2012/06/chung-cheng-chilli-meeprawn-meelaksa.html查看更多

Read about the chili mee from one of the blogs out there. Thought it was a pretty interesting idea for chili loving Singaporeans. I went with high expectations of sedap chili, unfortunately I was a little disappointed. The chili lacks the OOmpH factor. It certainly was not spicy enought and not fragrant. Would have preferred if it was fried thoroughly with garlic and shallots. It is not horrible but well.. not fantastic either. 查看更多

The star of the noodle from this noodle stall is their chilli. Though the level of spiciness is not as distinctive but rather, it is a very comforting type of spiciness that spice the taste up a little. The texture of the noodle was slightly too soft this time but they made it up by served it with fresh tasting prawns and nicely braised pork ribs as well as boiled egg. When you tossed everything well with the chilli, a delicious bowl of noodle is awaiting. The standard has dropped a little as compared to their prime days. 查看更多

I am a fan of chilli, so when I saw this stall I knew I had to try their noodles. The chilli noodles come with pork ribs, egg (not whole egg), prawn and slices of fish cake. The chilli itself is quite shiok and spicy. It is very tantalising. In addition, I also loved the pork ribs. The pork is very tender and the meat is soft with some fats within the meat. The prawns are also fresh and sweet. It is quite a great value since you get to enjoy meat, prawn and egg within a single bowl of noodles and there is even a bowl of the prawn soup. Definitely a stall which I will come back next time.查看更多

Though it is called chilli mee because of the special chilli paste used but what got me really excited is not the chilli but the pork ribs. I have tried many pork ribs at different noodle stalls and this is one of the best. The pork ribs were nicely braised, the meat was so tender and it fell off the bone effortlessly. Their mee pok was of a good texture and it served along with prawns, slices of fishcake and tau pok together with 1/2 of hard boiled egg. Their special chili is homemade with a well-balanced spiciness. I always asked for extra chilli for that extra kick. Apparently, the standard of this Chilli Mee has dropped a little these days. But still, it is worth trying if you happen to be in the vicinity. Recommended. 查看更多

This is the only stall that I know in Singapore that sells Chilli Mee. To me, it's like the dry version of the soup prawn mee with generous portions of good chilli in it. This stall's chilli is not too spicy and has a sweet after taste. Do try it after your army shopping 查看更多
