Siew Mai: Val and I liked this a lot. It is good! It does not have the unpleasant "pork" taste la... recommended!..but not as good as the one at Crystal Jade Palace.The egg tart is very fresh and warm; however, I think the egg itself is not juicy enough.. still quite good! We were at the Openrice office again to collect our prizes for participating in the Hungry Games contest. Once again, I met up with OpenRicers midas400 & happybaby03 to collect our contest prize from OpenRice. After collecting our prizes, we went dinner at Imperial Treasure Noodle & Congee House, ION. When I was shopping at ION, I saw a similar to Crystal Jade Kitchen food establishment called Imperial Treasure Noodle & Congee House. I went in to have a try of their Cantonese type of cafe's menu. There were a hundred plus of items on the menu and I was spoilt for choice.I had ordered their Rice noodle roll (Zhu Chang Fen). Their Zhu Chang Fen came with their special sauce. This Chinese restaurant not only served my favourite congee and noodle dishes, this is my first time trying their different types of dim sum food here. Restaurant's environment is quite comfortable and cooling. The service here was really fast and friendly too. Imperial Treasure really serves very delicious dim sum. I especially found their Baked Bolo Char Siew Bun really delicious. the pastry was so fragrant, every bite you take there is this buttery tasty. it practically crumbles in your mouth. the char siew was really delicious, not only was it tasty, it was not too sweet and does not have too many fatty meat. each serving has three buns and the size of each bun was fairly large too so it was pretty filling.

The dim sum offerings at Imperial Treasure and notably not very extensive, but all the classics are covered and each dish is done well. One dish that was good was the Fried Shrimp Dumplings filled to the brim with fresh prawns and minced pork. The skin was also crunchy and delicious and the mayo went very well with this unhealthy dish. It was pretty pricey though about $5 for only 3 pieces.

the dim sum here is really quite good. There is quite a large variety of classic and new innovative dishes so that each type of diner is satisfied. Went there for brunch as my friend was craving for some Chinese food I wouldn't have thought of Imperial Treasure for dim sum, so I was really surprised and glad we went!We ordered carrot cake, custard bun, po lo char siew bun, siew mai, fried beancurd roll. And none of these disappointed us! i went to imperial treasure for their famous congee. They serve absolutely delicious congee there. I ordered the pork congee and a portion of the gong bao chicken. the gong bao chicken is very strong in flavor with savoury dried chilli sauce. The congee on the other hand is much lighter in taste so this two combination goes very well together. The chicken from the gong bao chicken is so tender and succulent. The congee is so smooth, you can just swallow it. it was just delicious.

On cold and rainy days, the best place to have some comforting Chicken Soup is at Imperial Treasure. They have few outlets but I usually visit the one at ION. Located at the basement of Ion Orchard among the other restaurants, it's usually packed with long queues during lunch and dinner time. Roasted duck - juicy and tender duck meat with crispy fragrant skin. Prawn ball congee. Congee has a smooth and runny consistency and flavourful. Prawns used was really fresh and crunchy. Salted tofu (background). Fried tofu with salty dip. Nothing worthy to rave about.Xiao long bao - filled with stock and minced pork meat.

A great meal I've craved for after my trip from Europe!Roasted meat is authentic and taste good with the sweet plum sauce! (I have ordered its Char Siew and Roast Duck Meat!) The Xiao Long Bao is way better as compared to its competitors! Love its piping hot juicy water savoury Bao on its first bite! Decided to join my friends for a good lunch today. Ended up at Imperial Treasure for a very expensive lunch.
