Located at the basement of Orchard Central, this outlet has a self service style system, where one has to place order at the counter. It sells mainly Japanese desserts, with some Japanese main courses. The place is simply decorated in light brown and green in colour.We have Maccha (Hot) ($3.90), Maccha Float (XL) ($6.40) and Mango Cream Dorayaki ($7.90). Food looks quite nice but tastes average. I feel that the Dorayaki pancake is not fluffy.

We love Maccha House, both for its delectable offerings of matcha related treats and tranquil dining atmosphere. Maccha is much bigger in Singapore than it was five years ago, but I hadn't realised how big it was till I noticed the constant stream of customers queuing to get their maccha fix. I noticed that the beverages and dessert items were more popular than its main dishes here. I liked the Maccha soft serve cone I had that day. The flavour is not that strong, even though the server had recommended the mixed one. I say, go for the maccha one. I did and it was delicious!

I had obtained a reward on the Perx app so I went to redeem the free soft-served ice-cream. There were 3 variations to choose from - vanilla, matcha green tea and mixed flavour. I got the matcha flavour. It was literally "soft" served. The texture was very soft and felt very powdery which I did not like. The taste was still fine as there was an authentic taste of matcha, slightly milky and slightly bitter at the same time. I don't think I will get it again.

I like their open concept, a restaurant with a welcoming ambience First you will have to look at the menu while queuing, there will be a big menu board. What you see is what you will be paying. I was wondering around in Orchard Central and came across this place selling all sorts of green tea desserts. As a fan of green tea, I had to try something. I got myself the green tea soft serve ice cream which costs $2.90, relatively reasonable compared to other ice cream joints. The ice cream was fantastic, as the matcha taste was very very strong, and it wasn't artificially sweet. Recommended to give it a try.

Initially, I wanted to try their signature Maccha Dorayaki which was displayed at the counter. However the cashier told us that it was not ready yet (even though it was almost 12 noon). I settled for the banana caramel chocolate with whipped cream dorayaki. The dorayaki is light and fluffy and I love it. I am unable to taste the caramel though. There could be more banana slices.
