Boon Kee Wanton Noodle is again having a long queue. Sunday is supposed to be an off day for them but today they are opened for OpenRice special event. This is not our first time here - at the famous "long-queue" wanton noodle stall in Clementi Food Centre. We were invited by SWCDC and OpenRice to a family bonding event through tasting the delicious food items prepared by the stall-holders... yummy! Boon Kee Wanton Mee is rather popular in its vicinity and has been around for decades. Brought my visitor for a usual hawker centre breakfast and this is what we had ordered. Queue was snaky long as usual and we had actually took efforts to come out earlier to avoid the peak period.Mee kia was thicker and springy drenched with an abundance of dark sauce that totally suits my likings. However, my Hong Kong visitor find that the sauce was too overpowering and salty. The Char Siew that comes along

I ordered a plate of wanton mee for $2.50. There were 3 wantons, few slices of char siew and vegetables. While I didn't really fancy the char siew, the noodles and gravy were complemented well together. Three wantons may be quite little but there were some char siew slices (they were a tad too tough for my liking) at least. There is usually a queue here but it moves quite fast.

I suppose this is one of the popular stalls at Blk 448 Food Centre, it appears to always have people queuing. The estimated waiting time was about 1.5mins per serving (as I waited about 12 mins with 8 serving prior to my order). Their flow process was quite systematic and organized. The cook was a young guy at about the age of 20s. I ordered the $2.50 wanton mee. There were 3 wantons, vegetables, char siews, and of course, noodles. Boon Kee Wanton Noodle at clementi. Went for guo tiao dumpling (dry) today (without chilli as I had sore throat). The guo tiao was done just nicely, not too over-cooked. The black soya sauce goes pretty well with the noodle. The dumpling came with the soup and the meat was ok. Portion was a little small though. Would appreciate if they gave slightly more dumpling (probably 1-2 more will be nice)

Another regular hangout for my wanton mee fix. I like it with extra chilli and green cut chillies. I will go for the bigger portion at $3.00. The amount of noodle is rather substantial to fill up a hungry stomach. I love the eggy taste and springy texture of the noodle. The level of spiciness is still rather minimum even after the extra amount of chill added. This is one of the best wanton mee that i ever eaten. There is always a constant queue for this stall and they usually sold out by 5pm or earlier. They used eggy noodle for cooking and cooked well to give it the springy texture. They served it with char siew, a bit of vegetable and wantons in the soup. I asked for extra chilli but it did not make the noodle taste any spicier but just enough to give it the extra kick. Their wantons came with tasty filling.

I ordered their "sui jiao " dumpling noodles instead of wanton meeIt cost $2.50 for it,There's nothing much inside,only few pieces of veg The noodles sauce was very salty & oily while the noodles was quite hard to biteIt's not fully cooked,The dumpling was quite big,but there's only 3 ,there's mushroom,minced meat inside,it tasted pretty good, quite filling ,waiting time was not long,i waited 5mins onlyI rate 5/10
