xin wang's meal is always very Chinese style.i like the yuan yang from xin Wang..it's some kind like teh of Indian food..but it is not so sweet,and not so milky..it's more fresh.the fried crispy noodle is ok only, a bit oily and salty..but the chicken chop on top is nice,it's tender and the skin is crispy.. I had a simple meal at Xin Wang Cafe the other day, and ordered the Chef recommendation dish: Fermented pork with curry and rice ($8.9). The fermented pork is awesome!! They are so well-marinated with the fermented sauce, and deep-fried till crispy. Very aromatic and tasty! The curry is superb too! I could have eaten a big bowl of white with just the curry gravy! After a day out shopping with mum, we cam to the Hong Kong Cafe for snacks before heading home.My mum and I ordered their Custard Buns along with drinks.The custard buns are served in three's and are rather huge.I remember them being very soft and fluffy and when you bite into it, the custard flows into your mouth, all warm!It was really heavenly that my mum and I ordered another set.Definitely gonna be going back for more of this yummy buns …查看更多

Am pleasantly surprised that the fried rice from Xin Wang is so yummy. I had previously visited another branch of Xin Wang about 2 years ago and was kinda disappointed with the food.Ordered the Spicy fried rice (though it is stated as spicy fried rice, it is actually spicy seafood fried rice, not sure why it is not stated in the menu that it contains seafood). Went over to Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe for a hearty supper. 2 of my favorite foods here are the vegetable curry - a generous serving of bean curd, potatoes, french beans, cabbage and carrots in a yummy coconut milk stew. Can be eaten on its own or with plain rice/noodles. We were craving for HK food, so we decided to drop by Xin Wang. I had 2 HK cafe staples: iced yuan yang ($3.20) and Baked rice with pork chop.($10+) I like the yuan yang served here- it is a well balanced mix of coffee and tea. I had the steam fish and egg set, its very nice! the gravy mix well with the fish and they have a small serving of vegetables to go along with the meal too.I like how it makes me feel so full, makes the money spent worth it. ordered the meat floss fried egg rice set that comes with a few stalk of vegetables at xin wang ! The fried egg is very different from the usual fried egg i seen and tasted. So i strongly recommend one should try the fried egg at xin wang ! The floss is always nice as usual ! Dip the floss with the sauce and eat together with the egg and rice ! Everybody goes to xing wang for its fried beehoon, papaya beehoon pork chop soup.. But it's dessert is not bad as well! Ordered the mango shaved ice ice cream and it was good! I find the cup really cute. It's metal. I remembered having hot lemon tea in HK and it's in metal too. Not so much for soft drinks though. My partner had HK tea which is really sweet.My partner ordered five spice pork cube congee. I taxed abit...nothing exceptional about it. This is the dish you can make on your own at home and perhaps you can add more pork cubes too. The congee in maxwell market will win this dish easily. Not worth the $7.80.I ordered the same pork cube but in noodle form. It's actually instant noodles which isn't quite instant. The noodles at other Xin Wang Cafes seems to taste better than this one for some reason. Not worth the $6.80.The service was what amazes me most. Not only did the one young server forgot to smile, it seems like the whole world has stepped on her tail. Our first encounter with her was at the entrance. She came over to dumped some menus causing the pedestal to move towards to. I actually thought she would apologize but she simply walk off. No one attended to us at the entrance. Would be good if someone can come up to us and tell us that they are clearing tables and would attend to us as soon as possible. We just stood there and watch the service crews walked around. Anyway this is what happened:12.58pm - Waited at the entrance to be served1.02pm - Ushered to our table and 2 menus thrown on the table and the waitress didn't even bother to cast a look at us. She just walked off. On the whole, this eel with handmade noodles is nice, just that the portion is kind of small. The noodles is really like the q q type, and the eel tastes pretty fresh as well. Decide to try Xin Wang Hongkong cafe after watching a movie.Tried the baked rice,pork chop noodle.The portions of pork chop noodle was pretty small.Loved their baked rice.Super filling & great!Even though Hongkong cafe are not famous for their baked rice,I find their baked rice good & filling.Tried their custard buns.Really good.Sweetness just nice & the buns were fresh & hot.Their drinks are served in a metal cup,very unique!I tried their yuan yang & it's GOOD!!Not alot of places have good yuan yang as it requires a good combination or tea & coffee otherwise the taste would be weird.Their MANGO ICE is REALLY HUGE!!Taste wise not fantastic,pretty normal.Will go back for their baked rice & drinks & tim sum!…查看更多
