Chicken bake rice $10.50ordered a chicken cheese bake rice, the melted cheese luscious beneath the crispy cheese on the surface. The cheese is chewy and soft. However, the rice is not fragrant enough. I really love the vegetable curry served at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe. It is extremely rich and creamy. The curry is coconut based and in it are a generous portion of vegetables such as cabbage, french beans, carrots, potatoes and tofu. The rice served is soft and really fragrant. It also served with cucumber and tomato slices which seem to be quite fresh. The ambiance is is nice and the sofa seating's are comfy. I love egg tarts. Especially those from Hong Kong. I decided to order them while having lunch at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe. They were not very good though. The egg tarts were small and not warm. this Hongkong cafe has quite a number of main course.. this is one of their main course.. which is the curry chicken ricethe curry is not too hot.. taste not bad.. however i prefer it to be with prata compared to rice.. maybe its because of the curry..i would recommend other courses as well.. such as ungai porridge so on and forth =)…查看更多

i think this restaurant serves up good Hong Kong delights, ranging from baked rice to noodle soups to wok dishes, macau delicacies, dim sum, claypot porridge and so on~ it's really got anything you want :) I paticularly like their baked rice with fish fillet/pork chop, as the cheese is baked to perfection, rice is soft and fluffy, not hard and crisp, and the meat is always tantalising :) I also like their HK Yuan Yang (a drink made of tea + coffee), which is unique to its name and taste~ Although this may sound gross, but their papaya soup base for several noodle soups is actually good and nutritious, but i don't think I would pay the amount of money for something I could cook on my own …查看更多

Went to dine at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe with a bunch a friend. The atmosphere was nice, even though there was a big crowd during peak hour ...which can be quite a 'distraction' sometimes. This is a popular outlet, and a queue is expected. They ought to step up on their manpower, especially during peak hours such as weekend mealtimes. Was standing in line, waiting for my turn to be served for quite a while, despite noticing at least 3 empty tables in the outlet. The staff were too busy serving the diners within. (On this note, there was 1 other staff whose main duty was to sign customers up for their privilege card membership, and nothing else. My take - Serve your customers first!)In spite of the initial hiccup described above, the staff were rather efficient within. It didn't take long to get hold of a staff's attention to take and serve my order. My food arrived quickly. I ate the following:Braised Pork Udon SoupThe serving was substantial, in terms of the amount of braised pork. The pork was tender and this was 1 of the rare noodle dish, where the amount of meat was more than the noodles! The soup was also light and does not have an artificial taste in it (like those in instant noodles). Great for those who want to have a simple meal! Mango Snow IceThis was heavenly. It was not overly sweet and most parts of it were MANGO (flavoured or not)! There were tiny cubes of mango and mango jelly, which gave a nice overall texture and taste to this dessert. A friday night to meet up with my mother and brother. My mother called both my brother and me to meet up at yishun control station. We went to Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe to have our dinner as my mother always provide excellent comment on their western food and Ice kachang. Therefore, each of us ordered our main course and 1 mango ice Kachang to share. The Mango Ice Kachang was yummy. It was covered with mango ice cream on the top and mango bits at the side of the bowl. Luckily, my mother ordered one only as it was quite a big portion for individual's to finish up Out of all the restaurant I have been so far, one of the staff gave me a good impression. 竹筒饭&奶茶The rice is quite fragrant with a lot of stuffs on top. Anyway the rice was not well cooked, a bit hard and dry, the gravy only on top, so the rice below is tasteless. this is a plate of fried custard bun I had ordered when I dined in Xin wang hong kong cafe. I the custard filling inside was not too sweet. the outer fried bun layer is crispy and not too oily. the ratio between the custard and bun layer is just nice. Xing wang hong kong cafe was good! They have great service serve by many many waiters and waitresses. I ate the beef cheese baked rice. It tasted so nice! It made me started loving baked rice. It was the first time I tasted something like this, and from then on, I can't stop myself from eating baked rice. However, I feel that the price is abit costly, around $9+ without gst and service charge. Also, the fans were often not switch on, causing the restuarant to feel very warm.
