I was curious when i chanced upon this stall in this food centre. I thought it might be somehow related to the other stall with the same name and identical signboard over at Mei Ling Food Centre. I took a picture of the signboard when i was in the queue. The Auntie spotted me and questioned me in a slightly aggressive tone. I smiled and put my camera away.I waited for another few minutes before i gotta order. I ordered a bowl of dry kway teow with extra chilli added for only $2.50. While waiting, i tried to chat with the same Auntie. I asked her whether this stall was previously located at the corner of the already demolished Margaret Drive Food Centre. I was surprised when she said no. She said that stall is currently at the Mei Ling Food Centre and this stall was located towards the inner part of that food centre. Seriously, i do not quite remember there were 2 fishball noodle stalls shared the same stall name in that food centre. I decided to leave it as the Auntie seemed to be slightly irritated as she was rather busy then. A good portion of wider version of kway teow served with a large amount of chilli over it. It was then topped with dried shallots, chopped spring onion and bits of fried pork lards. It seemed plain but the texture of the kway teow was cooked just right to give it the delightful smoothness and softness. When tossed it well with the chilli and the rest, it was a delectable bowl of kway teow awaiting. And, it did not taste as spicy as tasted. A bowl of soup with 5 pieces of fishballs in it was served along. Those fishballs have got an amazingly bouncy texture with a likeable chewiness. The soup tasted rather plain with no particular distinctive taste. I would think the standard of both stalls is comparable. This is a pretty cheap and good option for lunch in this food centre. 繼續閱讀
