Just to put it out there that this Bak Kut Teh is the herbal type. So this is the Malacca herbal type that is very nice. Our family of 4 had:* one pot of Bak Kut Teh for 2 pax with enoki mushroom and pieces of tau Kee - very nice soup though I found the pork ribs a tad tough* sesame ginger chicken - we love the sauce and my girls ate almost all the chicken pieces, leaving us to taste the yummy dish from sucking the chicken bones only. So I did the next best thing which is to put the pork ribs inside the sauce to glaze it. Yummy!* braised pig's small intestines - tasty pieces with no funny piggy smell* crispy tau Kee - this is a wonderful dish with layers crispy tau Kee stacked together and glazed with their braised sauce. I've eaten at many Bak Kut Teh places and this is the first place I've seen this done this way! Champion! I wanted to order another but had to stop myself* broccoli and mushrooms - simple dish of blanched broccoli and seasoned with sesame oil and soy sauce. Approved by my girls so you can trust. We had all these with the must-have braised peanuts and you tiao, they were average but nice enough. The meal is essentially very nice and the soup is refillable so that's great! Another great thing is the price tag. The whole meal costed us about $50 which is really value-for-money for a BKT meal. Will return for more!!! 繼續閱讀

Came here with my friends (4 of us in total) to try out this new bak kut teh stall. The ginger sesame chicken was surprisingly good. It's tasty and has a very home-cooked feel to it. It's a tad oily though. But this dish fares better than the other 2 bak kut dishes we tried. Ginger sesame chicken - $5.80The bak kut teh here was not too bad but it's nothing spectacular. You can ask for a top-up of the soup which is herbal in taste. The bak kut was tender enough and the tau kee was ok too. Still alright if you are not setting your standards too high.Small bowl of bak kut teh - $5.80For the dry bak kut teh, it was cooked with slices of dried cuttlefish and lady fingers. Also not bad in taste but I've had a better version at other places before. The dish is ok if you are a fan of cuttlefish. Otherwise, it might lend a slightly "fishy" taste to the bak kut. Dry bak kut teh - $6.80The salted vegetables and braised peanuts were also alright in taste. But again, nothing too special.Salted vegetables ($1.80) and braised peanuts ($1)We tried to order the honey lemon jelly but unfortunately it was sold out already.Well, generally the bak kut teh here is not bad but I probably will not come back again because I've tried better places elsewhere. 繼續閱讀

A taste of malaysia, that's how i would some up my 1st visit here. This stall replaces the previous hock lam beef. The BKT is the herbal soup base type, with mixed ingredients from pork ribs to intestines to liver to enoki mushroom to lettuce etc. The small claypot cost $5.80.Also ordered the braised tow ki $3.80 which is too soft to my liking, was hoping for the crispy type deep in those sweet sauce. The steamed toufu with minced meat is nice and should go well with rice $6.80 Braised peanuts $1 taste a little like canned products, the salted vegetable $1.80 is pretty plain as well. Fortunately the soup made up for it. We also ordered the honey lemon jelly $2 which is a popular drink in jb malaysia, definitely worth ordering. Also worth mentioning is they do provide soup top up. 繼續閱讀
