I was working near Shun Fu that day and went to Shun Fu for dinner. It was really nice to be served with this piping hot Fried Kuey Teow. The fried kuey teow was not oily at all, and there was a lot of ingredients added to it. There is oysters, vegetables, bean spouts, egg and also fish cake. I really like the fish cake a lot and there were many stall are still adding fish cake to their fried kuey teow. On top of that, the sauce was also well spread out, therefore, all part of kuey teow was nice! I will definitely come back again for this stall! 繼續閱讀

The FoodI ordered char kway teow which come with oversized plate. This stall operates previously from the lake view hawker center hence now have moved into the Shunfu Hawker Centre. Ingredients were quite impressive as there were ample ingredients of sliced fish cakes, sliced waxed sausages. It had a very good wok hei and the kway teow is fried more towards watery. The chilli used was special and not too overly spicy. The PriceReasonably priced from $2.50 onwards and I ordered the $3 portion with decent portionOverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this! 繼續閱讀

There are some newspaper clippings displayed at this stall. I expected their standard to be good but i ended up feeling disappointed. The fried kway teow was not as hot as expected. Some of the noodle and kway teow were slightly burnt too. It did not have any wok taste. The kway teow served with a few cockles, chinese sausage and vegetable. I am not keen to come back. 繼續閱讀

This stall used to be at Lakeview Food Centre before it demolished a long time ago. The stall is to be manned by the father and his son at the Sembawang Hill Food Centre sharing the same signboard. I honestly expected the fried kway teow to be good as this stall was featured once in a TV program but i was proven wrong after my first mouthful. It was not hot but luke warm and it served too quickly after i made my order thus i suspected they might have pre-fried it and then refried before served. The noodle and kway teow were broken into small pieces perhaps after refried, a few noodle tasted rather hard and dry. I decided to left it unfinished after a few mouthfuls as i refused to waste my calories on such unpleasant food though i do not encourage food wastage as well.My plate of fried kway teow was fried by an Auntie. I understand the Uncle only fried a few hours at this particular branch and another few hours at another in different part of the day. The Uncle with his many years of experiences does fry a mean plate of fried kway teow. Perhaps, i will give it a try again if i happen to be at this food centre and spotted the uncle on duty. Their specially made otak tasted average too. 繼續閱讀

Whenever I am craving for Char Kway Teow (CKT) , I would head to this outlet which is closest to my place. Much as CKT is an unhealthy dish, it is one of my favorite guilty pleasures. The hum is well cooked, plenty of lap cheong and spring onions. For $2.50 a plate, it is simply one of the simple pleasures of life. Behold the oily CKT, so yummy and good to eat. An occasional indulgence! 繼續閱讀
