Finally tried Tim Ho Wan the other day!Seriously, all of us have heard about the long queues and waiting for the 4 heavenly kings and one of them being the Baked Bun with BBQ Pork! I and my dad were having our dim sum breakfast. The good food is worth the wait, we queued there around one hour for its Dim Sum. Two persons, actually the variety was quite limited. This Cantonese dish also known as ‘’Chee Cheong Fun’’, it has a lot of choices with different ingredients to cater inside, I picked prawns. It was obviously fresh with the soft exterior skin. There is always a long queue when I pass by and I decided to give it a try this time round. We queued about 1 hr or more for our turn but I think is worth the wait. I love the baked bun with BBQ pork, mala gao and carrot cake. The baked bun with bbq pork is fresh, crispy and slightly sweet on the outside and flavourful in the inside. The mala gao is soft, fragrant and sweet. The other tim sums such as the glutinous rice, vegetable dumpling and siew mai are also good. I will definitely patronise

With the arrival of Tim Ho Wan to Singapore, queues outside the michellin star restaurant were so long that customers had to wait for at least 2 hours and some even up to 4 hours. I'm sure everyone has heard of the famous 1 michelin star Tim Ho Wan restaurant. I find that this restaurant is indeed overrated, as most of the dim sum taste average to me. However, their BBQ pork bun is something to raved about, the out layer was hot and crispy and the filling was filled with sweet char siew. Overall for such average standard, I don't find it worthy for the queue.
