Once seated, you will be given an order form to place your order and then proceed to the cashier to order the food. I decided to order a beef egg rice and a side dish of Fried Tofu with briased mincepork. The beef egg rice was served warm, in a small bowl. Ordered the chicken baked rice here and it was a little disappointing for the taste. The chicken was a bit burned and the carrots were a bit hard and uncooked. Cheese were alot though so it will be good for cheese lovers! The gst and service charge is included in the price in the menu though. Tried the wanton noodles as well and it wasn't really very authentic hk food. Soup that came with the bake rice tasted good though with carrots, wintermelon and mushroom inside. 

As of 2013, Wan Chai Hong Kong Tea Room is now 12 years old since its opening. In all that buzz and fuzz, the cafe mimics the cosmopolitan city of Hong Kong. They served the food lightning-fast, but it took quite awhile to make payment.Sadly, the concept of a 'tea room' is nowhere near its title. As its name tells, Wan Chai had the concept of Hong Kong Restaurant theme. The layout and atmosphere was simple and friendly-familiar. after finishing grocery shopping , passed by this restaurant named Wan Chai Hong kong Tea Room , decided to go in and try due to not so crowded.The restaurant serve rices, noodles, breads, desserts, drinks of different style. I ordered Portuguese chicken baked rice, that come with free soup , i like the chicken as it was well marinated , fresh and tender and the rice is soft and creamy with melted cheese.

Yesterday we went to IMM, after going to Daiso, dunno where to eat, so we decided to eat at Wan Chai HK Tea Room just in front of Daiso, the place was crowded, but we managed to get some seats.We ordered the HK Pork Chop Baked Rice, Chicken with Sausage and Mushroom and Wan Chai Special Fried Rice.The HK Pork Chop Baked Rice was okay.. somehow i'm not certain it's pork.. it's like chicken.There's raisin on the baked rice.. that makes the taste become a bit funny for me, I prefer the Xin Wang's P

Of everything we ordered, I only like their Ice Milk Tea. Didn't know their Ice drinks come with Ice-cream, no wonder the price is double of the hot version.I had the Scallop, Salmon and Asparagus Baked Rice. Wasn't to my liking. Their rice meal comes with a complimentary soup, too. Prawn Paste Chicken wasn't as good as those I had from Zi Char stall. Tofu with floss was okay, but i dislike the floss quality. Our dinner costs $52. I think it's too expensive for 3 rice sets, 2 sides and 3 drinks.

Whenever there is such restaurant or cafe that named themselves Hong Kong something, I am always looking forward to some nice Hong Kong food even though it is not those authentic ones but at least the taste must be good. Hong Kong food-especially the nai cha(milk tea), sandwiches, pineapple buns(Bo low bao) are some of my comfort food to go to. Love the pineapple buns here which are freshly baked and go so well with a slice of butter in between the warm bread. The crust of the bread is crispy and the inside is soft and fluffy. Love the aromatic and thick milk tea here too. Great for an afternoon tea snack!

Nice presentation, chicken was big enough for the portion (kinda like 1/2 of a very small chicken), few pieces of carrots, not much cheese and very dry. Soup was good as usual.Saw the photo on the pillar and ordered it. Chicken was just not too my liking. It was too "healthy", not oily and all. Not enough curry and cheese, so the entire thing tasted quite dry. Not sure if they were too busy today or something, it was 7pm. Definitely could be better.

I like the pork chop baked rice from wan chai. The pork chop is not too dry and tough, in fact it is very tender and juicy. I like the sauce they coat the pork chop with, has this sweetish taste. The rice is very fragrant, not the normal rice we eat. What I like most about this dish is the melted cheese on top of the baked rice. they are very generous with the cheese, every spoon you take, there is some cheese sticking together with the rice.

I went to wan chai hong kong tearoom for lunch. I ordered their fried rice. their fried rice is not like those normal fried rice you find outside, it is very fragrant. the rice is not clumpy at all, it was cooked perfectly and it tasted really chewy. they are very generous with the ingredients they add to the fried rice. the prawns they fry together with the rice is very fresh, its meat is very sweet and succulent. The portion was just right.

This hong kong cafe not only serves a wide range of bubble milk tea, their finger foods are equally impressive as well. I like to eat their crispy deep fried dumplings which is filled with generous amount of juicy minced meat, diced crunchy prawns, chopped parsley and water chestnuts in it. The fillings is so full of the sweetness from the meat and prawns which is really tasty. The dumpling skins have been deep fried till really crispy and not too oily.
