Surprise Surprise Surprise…I have never in my life thought that such a secluded place in Bukit Panjang sells such good carrot cake and has such a long queue!I was at Blk 258 Bukit Panjang market on a sunday morning where i saw a large crowd at a carrot cake stall in Zheng Yun Snack House. Its interesting as it is not a coffee shop and thus only takeaway is available. As i was not in a rush, i decided to give a try. The store has this queue system where i got a piece of paper with a queue number on it. I waited for a good 30 mins. During waiting, i noticed that the 2 aunties were extremely friendly and attentive despite under pressure from the large crowd.While waiting, i started chatting with one auntie besides me. From her, i got to know that this stall was there for at least more than 30 years. I was telling myself that how could i not seen it… Most probably its really secluded...I bought 2 packets with one white and the other black. Amazingly, both of it tasted very delicious! The cook was not stingy on the amount of egg, chye-poh and garlic. The kuey was savoury and the fish sauce mixed well with all settings.I will definitely be going back to the stall for the carrot cake… Thumbs up!P.S: Heard from the auntie that the stall is open only from approx 630am to 12pm, less than 6 hours...…查看更多
