While I like the seaside locale of the restaurant, I'm not a fan of the extremely cramped configuration of the dining tables. I suppose it's a profit-driven ploy to maximise business with whatever space they have, but I could hear everything the tables surrounding us were saying!

We ordered:

1) Ginger and Onion Fish Fillet ($14) - The fish is sliced thickly, smooth and soft in texture, and slightly coated in a delicate savoury spring onion and ginger-tinged oyster sauce

2) Beef Fillet with Pepper Sauce ($9 each fillet, minimum of 2 pieces). The grilled beef was flavoursome enough on its own, tender to the bite and had a smoky charred edge. No need for the straight-out-of-a-can-tasting pepper gravy

3) Mixed Mushrooms with Beancurd ($14) was nice as a normal cze char fare, even if it wasn't the most refined dish. The beancurd tasted refried, as the crisp skin was a tad chewy. That said, the shimeiji and enoki mushrooms provided a luxe element to the starchy oyster sauce gravy

4) Black Pepper Sri Lankan King Crab ($42 per kg) - MUST-TRY here, the crabs are always sweet, meaty and fleshy, with a coating of fiery peppery sauce to complement the sweetness of the crustacean

this is one of the way to eat fresh prawnswhich is the herbal soup type.. freshy taste and lightif you love tofu.. this is one of the must try.. fried tofu.. soft and tasty.. with those mushrooms and sauce..and a few broccoli, healthy definitely ~!lastly.. scallop deep fried wrapped with yam ring~i love scallop~! this is not overcooked.. hence still able to feel the texture of the scallop~!

a hearty meal

I went for a gathering with a goup of friends to jumbo seafood. Since there were quite a few of us, we ordered quite a lot of food. Their sambal kang kong, chilli crab, black pepper crab, fried you tiao, claypot beancurd. It was simply delicious. the sambal kang kong was one of the nicest I have tried. The stem of the kang kong is very crunchy. The sambal is not too spicy and not too sweet. the crabs are the juiciest and freshest I have tasted. Love their sauce, so tasty.

Long heard of jumbo went there with my mum & sister We ordered quite about 4-5dishes & total damaged - $200+ +Their peking duck was great The skin is very crispy & meat is juicy & tenderwe ordered the whole duck,but can't finish so we take away & they never charge us any extra charges Nice ambience but abit noisy overall i rate 8/10

Looking for quality seafoods? Jumbo seafood is definitely one of your best choice. The environment is cosy and spacious, which you can choose to sit indoor or outdoor. Many live seafoods are found here and the chefs will usually use the live seafoods to cook your dishes, which make their seafoods so tasty and juicy! This restaurant is usually quite crowded so is always best to call for early reservation. My verdict: 7/10

Jumbo Seafood, is a well-known brand name here in Singapore and is renown for its delicious chilli crab and seafood dishes!As a family outing, we decided to have dinner at Jumbo Seafood East Coast.We ordered the famous chilli crab which i loved! The gravy was awesome, and had just the right amount of spice for me. It was a perfect combination when dipped with the crispy golden fried buns.  We also ordered the Salted Egg Yolk Prawns which was pretty expensive, but also pretty damn good in taste as well! The prawns were fresh (although small) and tasted great with the salted egg combination.

Overall, an awesome meal! Was really satisfied with the food here. Do remember to ask for discount at the counter (& pretend to walk away if they don't) before letting them lead you to your seats! They'll usually give u a 10% off for fear you might end up at their competitor's place.

Chili crabs are their signature dish

Boyfriend and I were at East Coast Park and was famished after an hour plus queue to get our free movie tickets. There's three seafood restaurant nearby and we were clueless as to which to choose, so I did a research on mobile to compare their rating. In the end Jumbo won by 0.5 stars. As we walked towards the restaurant only, the waiter was very eager to serve us. We were brought to a rather spacious round table that can sit 4 - 6 persons even thought it's only two of us. As we walked towards the restaurant only, the waiter was very eager to serve us. We were brought to a rather spacious round table that can sit 4 - 6 persons even thought it's only two of us. Service was fast and there were waiter and waitress walking around.

Boyfriend was the one who did the ordering and he straight away recommend me to their Chili crab saying that I won't regret eating it. True enough, I was addicted to their sauce. Sinful, high in cholesterol but the rich savory chili gravy goes well with either white rice on the fried buns! It cost $44 per kg and ours was a 900g one so cost $39.60 and the fried bun is $0.50 each!

The rest of the dishes are above average but not so much that I would want to eat again. The sambal Kang Kong is too oily and too big a plate for the two of us. The mushroom in the mushroom beancurd is a bit blend but the beancurd is nice. As for the BBQ Big prawn, it's marinate in butter but I find it a bit too salty.

Celebrating my sister birthday at Jumbo seafood. Call up and reserved two 1.5kg crabs. One chilli crab and the other one was pepper crab. The restaurant provide disposable apron for precaution, if dirty the clothes. Such a considerate idea My sister recommend the sliced duck with mango and my cousin favourite dish was drunken prawns.

Jumbo restaurant is known for their popular chili crabs a.k.a one of Singapore's attraction food item. I find their crabs okay only though. Nothing personal, but I've never been much of a fan of chili crabs. I like it but I don't love it, I actually prefer the salted egg ones. It was a family affair, my boyfriend's grandmother's birthday to be precise. Tried the Chili Crabs, Black Pepper Crabs, Longevity Peach Buns, Fish Soup, Seafood Ee Mee, Salted Egg Prawns, Sambal Kangkong, etc. Among all, I like the Longevity Peach Buns best, perhaps because they are pretty, haha. It's a good tze char place, I believe many would support this too.

Dropped by last Saturday for a late dinner.As usual, Jumbo by East Coast is crowded with crab lovers.I didnt make any reservation and just walk in since there is only 2 pax.Despite being really crowded there, we didnt have much issues on getting a table by the seaside.Order their signature Chili Crab, Man tou, Cereal prawn and Fried You Tiao in Seafood paste.Chilli Crab was cooked to perfection - Claws are big and fresh, gravy is thick and mild spicy. Best to go along with man tou or plain rice.

As usual, Jumbo by East Coast is crowded with crab lovers.

Order their signature Chili Crab, Man tou, Cereal prawn and Fried You Tiao in Seafood paste.

Chilli Crab was cooked to perfection - Claws are big and fresh, gravy is thick and mild spicy. Best to go along with man tou or plain rice.

Cereal prawn we requested for the shelled prawns. I enjoyed every single bits on the big and crunchy prawns. It taste marvelous with the mild sweet cereal.

Fried you tiao - It was filled with seafood paste and it is serve with their special dip.
I ordered this just because it was 'recommended' in the menu. Pretty decent taste but fall below my expectation as a 'recommended' dish. Perhaps it was too oily for my liking.

Enjoy the crabs with a jug of beers.

Service wise, the waitress were attentive.
Environment is nice if you like to dine by the seaside but its a little rowdy as there were really many crab enthusiast!

10% discount for all citibank cards on food.

Walked off with a bill of $120 for 2 pax. (We ordered a large crab).
