Chen Chen Soya Bean (已結業)

I often didn’t expect good service at hawker centre, but for this stall, it was running by a hardworking and cheerful ladyboss that I have ever met. A very traditional bowl of beancurd, it was smooth and silky. Insist to use the old way of making Soya Beancurd, it was no way to compare with a factory’s product. The fragrance of Pandan Leave was strong, it was sweet also tempting, and one bowl was actually not enough for me.

This is one of the few drinks stalls that still opened at night. Other than canned drinks, this stall offers soya bean drink and grass jelly drink too as well as their homemade lime juice. Lime juice is one of my usual favourite when come to ordering drink. The lime juice from this stall has a good balance of sour and sweet taste. It tasted very refreshing. They added enough ice cubes to keep it cold.

I woke up 5am to drive my parents to their pickup point for their genting trip. After dropping them off, my wife and i went to Ang Mi Kio Cheng San Market & Food Centre for breakfast. It was 5.30am, there are not much people around but all the stall owners are preparing to open their store. My wife and I wanted to have Soya Bean Drink and Dou Hua and we ordered one of each to share. My wife commented the drink and tou hua is so fresh and definitely will want to go back again.
