FoodThis place is also recommended by my pal. Cool! Besides having the same food at in Sim Lim Square everytime, now I have another choice! Roast Duck Noodles cost $4. Noodles are springy. The duck skin is cripsy and all were very good. One bad thing that I always have is that whenever I have duck meat, it gets stuck in between my teeth.  Dumplings soup soup is has mild peppery taste which I'm not in favour with but most important is the dumplings fillings. They are fresh and juicy. It comes with plenty of vegetables which I think its very healthy! Tantalizing meal I had!

 Love the dark sauce covering almost every part of the rice. Total of 3 types of roasted delights on my plate - Roasted meat, Char Siew and Duck! Roasted meat has very cripsy skin and char siew is lean to fit my taste! Love it!

Self service and you have to queue for sometime before you get your food.

Ambience
Near and along the pathway of the OG building. You get to see different people walking about the streets. Overall, I find it okay dinning in an open air space.

Price
Reasonable pricing.

Recommendation / Tips
During 1st and 15th of the lunar calendar, the shop will be packed.

 The Roasted Duck was tender and juicy, not too dry not too hard. The Roasted Pork (sio bak) lacked the crisp cracking skin and was saved by the soft bones (which I like). On the other hand, the noodles was well cooked, soft but not soggy and still springy. It was drizzled with sweet gravy that was robust and flavourful. The pork lard enhanced the flavour even more! The gravy complement the noodles and meat well.

It was served with both green chilli and sambal chilli. The sambal chilli was not bad. But a tad too sweet and lack a spicy kick.

 The Char Siew was well marinated and tender with a good ratio of fats and lean meat. A pity there was no charred parts which would have appealed more to me. The Roasted Duck and noodles were as good as what I ate during my last visit.

Overall, I would say that the food here is tasty and affordable. Choo Chiang has several outlets in Singapore. Hopefully, the standard is the same in all their outlets.
