Chuen Chuen Chicken Rice At Lorong Sarina (Changi Road)Chicken Rice is one of Singapore's national dishes and is served in a few varieties - Roasted, Braised and Steamed. Today, I am here at Chuen Chuen Chicken Rice is located at Lorong Sarina which is along Changi Road. They have another two outlets at Balestier Food Market and Bugis.Besides chicken rice, other side dishes such as Dumpling Soup, Oyster Sauce Vegetable, Bean Sprouts, Chicken Gizzard and many more are available too.The roasted and steamed chicken looked succulent and appetizing! We (Myself and Julian) ordered half of a roasted chicken ($14) and a bowl of dumpling soup ($5). However, never judge a book by its cover. Despite the visual appeal, it was rather salty.More pics and thoughts at http://lepakwithyaops.com/chuen-chuen-chicken-rice-at-lorong-sarina-changi-road/ 繼續閱讀

On the third day of Chinese New Year after an afternoon of driving around visiting relatives, we were feeling slightly carsick and ill from the heat. As Longhouse Food Centre was on our way home, we stopped by to pick up some dinner. Having had rich dishes on the previous days like pen cai, and lots of Chinese New Year cookies, we just wanted something hot, and plain and simple. After taking a look at the various stalls' offerings, we settled on food from Bugis Street Chuen Chuen Chicken Rice, namely their chicken congee and chicken feet.Mom had most of this congee. I only had a few spoonfuls. But I could have gobbled (or drank) the whole thing. The hot, silky soft porridge was immensely soothing. Mixed with the special chicken-flavoured soy sauce, it was soothingly delicious, warming and satisfying, the kind of comfort food you would want on a cold day or when you feel ill. Probably the only congee that could beat it is that from Crystal Jade and Imperial Treasure. Chicken feet, whether cooked Thai style or Chinese style, has always been a favourite of my sister and I because of its crunchiness. As chicken feet itself is tasteless, much depends on the sauce / gravy accompanying the feet. In comparison to their chicken porridge, I found Chuen Chuen Chicken Rice's chicken feet average, and a little on the sweet side. If anything, I would return to the stall for more chicken porridge. For full review and more photos, please visit http://wildchildurbancity.blogspot.sg/2013/08/bugis-st-chuen-chuen-chicken-rice.html 繼續閱讀

In a desperate bid to chase away the monday blues, I thought that I should reward myself with a late supper at Long House Food court which is conveniently located at Upper Thomson Road, in the midst of famous dessert places such as Udders. Feeling peckish for some carbs, I decided to get the chicken rice from Bugis St Chuen Chuen Chicken Rice 白沙浮津津芽菜鸡. I opted for the set meal A, which consists of rice, chicken of your choice, soup and a side of beansprouts. Not to mention the usual suspects of chili and dark sauce which are a must when eating chicken rice! Priced at $5.30, I feel that this is a reasonable price for a well-balanced meal since you get your carbs, protein and fibres all in one place. The chicken was tender and juicy, and went well with the sauce that it was served in. The beansprouts were surprisingly tasty because of the accompany sauce and shallots! I was almost going to get the recipe for the beansprouts from the owners of the shop because I had never eaten such tasty beansprouts in my life. The rice is your typical fragrant chicken rice so nothing special abotu that. All in all, it was a very satisfying meal and I would highly recommend trying this place out if you are a fan of chicken rice, just don't forget to order the beansprouts too! 繼續閱讀

My friend ate this stall and reccomended me to this stall. When I went to eat it for dinner, it was close to closing and there was only half a steamed chicken hanging. I ordered it and found the chicken to taste normal. I was expecting it to be tender and juicy. The rice isn't very fantastic as well and the cucumbers were crunchy. Perhaps I would try other dishes if I frequent the stall again. 繼續閱讀

If you do like fatty and meaty white chicken then this is the stall that you shouldn't miss. The chicken was tender and juicy, it went rather well with the chilli, definitely not disappointing but not impressive too.I do not like the bean sprouts here, it still have its crunchiness but it tasted a little too raw to my liking. The parking has always been an issue here, so do try to avoid lunch or dinner time. 繼續閱讀
