I’m a fan of chicken skin and when I saw that they sold fried chicken skin, I knew I had to try it once!I finally bought a cup of it after lunch today. Before they hand the cup over to you, they’d ask if you want to sprinkle chilli powder on top (just like those Taiwanese fried chicken cutlets). I asked for them to sprinkle just a bit, but the spice level was really low hence most people should be able to tolerate the normal amount of chilli powder. I felt that the fried chicken skin could be crispier and saltier as it didn’t have much taste. As it's a really unhealthy snack, trying it once is more than enough for me!

Meat was surprisingly tender however it was very thinly sliced and if the batter seemed to be the same thickness as the meat for some of them but fortunately it was compensated by the tasty and tender meat. The batter was crispy though and the portion was just right for 1 person. One packet of chicken costed about $4, around the same as shilin taiwan snacks and other street stalls.

normally i am quite skeptical about korean food because I do not like kimchi but this korean snack store is actually quite nice. i ordered the boneless chicken breast and i thought the staff will just chop it up and serve me immediately, instead they reheat the meat by throwing it back to the hot oil for second round of frying. i did not add any chili powder because i scared it would be too spicy for me and i think i made the right choice because i can taste the natural marinate from the meat. the meat is still tender and surprisingly the batter was not too thick and gross and i actually kind of like it

i was doing my Christmas shopping at vivo. After walking around with my friend, we both got really hungry and we decided to head down to the basement to look for some delicious snack to eat. After much pondering, we decided to settle for the Korean rice cake. It cost us $3 a bowl. The portion was quite small. The sauce was very spicy, a little salty but not sweet at all. The rice cake is very chewy, cooked perfectly. There were other ingredients inside as well. There were cabbage and beancurd skin. All very delicious and goes well with the rice cake and sauce.

I have tried dong dae mun before but not for their crispy chicken. The price was about the same as others. What I am surprised by is that the chicken was very soft and tender, such that when I took a bite, it was so easy to eat, not hard at all! And yet, the outer was still very crispy, and the flavour of the chicken is also nice and delicious;DI really love it and will definitely be back for it, simply awesome(:
