The wanton noodles costs $4.00 per bowl. Quite generous servings of cha siew. Very sweet tasting. Got crispy wanton - a little oily though. Wantons in the soup had a very soft skin and meaty wantons. Soup's very flavourful and pretty hot. Noodles texture quite springy, goes well with tomato and a bit of chilli sauce. The chilli's not spicy, so don't worry.Add $1 for an additional drink or dessert. I chose the green bean soup which had a lot of sago in it - my favourite!Decently cheap for a simple meal. Cafe ambience - not so crowded during dinner time as well.http://phuachiuyen.wordpress.com/2013/08/24/pontian-wanton-noodles-graffiti-cafe-jem/Read More

This handmade egg noodles stall has many different outlets islandwide in singapore. I think most of the stallls' standard are quite good and consistent, which includes this outlet at Jurong East as well. The egg noodles are the usual chewy and smooth in texture. The char siew meats are very tender and quite fragrant as well. Chye sim are only boiled over water to serve in this dish to add on the extra crunchiness of the noodles and also is more healthy too. Wantons are very crispy and not too oily, which all these ingredients mix together really make this noodles so yummy!Read More

If you are like me, always wanted the fried as well as the soup wantons to go along with wanton noodle then those from Pontian is definitely a good choice to consider. And, this is the reason why their wanton noodle has been my usual favorite. Pontian has many stalls island wide serving the Malaysian style wanton noodle and the standard varies from stall to stall. And, i am still on the lookout for a particular stall that managed to maintain its consistency. I ended up going around eating from different stalls. I always skip the tomato sauce and opted only the dark sauce with extra chilli sauce. I was rather released after having my first mouthful of this particular bowl of wanton noodle, the standard was definitely not the worst nor the best, it tasted just like any other pontian's wanton noodle that i have had in the past. I have always enjoyed eating their both version of wantons. I loved the taste of dried flat fish and the crunchiness of the water chestnuts. The filling was wrapped in a sheet of thinner than normal skin and fried it till a nice crispiness for the fried version. The soup version has an entirely different texture. Both versions are equally nice. I would prefer the noodle to be cooked a little longer to be a little softer for this bowl of wanton noodle. It would definitely be nicer if the slices of char siew are a little thicker and a more generous amount given. No matter, it has always be a joy to eat a bowl of nicely cooked Pontian's wanton noodle. Read More
