Bee Cheng Hiang's bakkwa boasts the highest quality of meat hand weaved using a traditional bamboo sieve. It is smothered slowly for hours over live coals in our secret recipe. The smoking process seals in a flow of sweet and savoury marinate that infuses delectable moisture into every piece of meat. The bakkwa is then barbecued over a glowing fire until it spatters and caramelize the tender meat in the all right place. Bee Cheng Hiang is one of the well known brands in bak kwa in Singapore. It has over 262 outlets across 9 countries. Today I received a box of the barbecued meat from vendor. It is wrapped in waxed paper and packed into bright gold paper bag. The barbecued meat looks a dull in colour. It tastes a bit dry and not as sweet as expect. Maybe due to the festive season, the standard seems to have dropped and it is not as tasty as expected. 繼續閱讀

My wife was a "bak gua" Lover and I bought 200 grams of "bak gua" for my wife as her tibits at night. I tried a piece and felt a little digusted as the "bak gua" was oily and was not the same tender feel that I had tried from other outlet. I look at the rest of the "bak gua" in the packaging and I realise there are a few look over cooked (chao da) . What a disappointment for my wife favourite tibits ,eventually I had to promise her to get another packet for her the next day from another outlet 繼續閱讀
