Lao Zhong Zhong “Fine” (Should be “Five” we thought?) spices Wu Xiang is the famous Ngoh Hiang stall that started near the previous Old Thong Chai Chinese medical hall at South Bridge Road. Over the years, it has shifted several times and now finally settled down in one of the coffeeshops at Macpherson.Talking about good Ngoh Hiang or Wu Xiang in Singapore, Lao Zhong Zhong is a clear winner in the Ngoh Hiang category. Why is that so? Of course, there are good Ngoh Hiang stalls around and you can find one or two good types of Wu Xiang out of the many exotic variations available at the stall, however, most of the balance assortments are usually atrocious and in the end only left you with more disgruntlement. What truly make Lao Zhong Zhong stands out amongst the rest are their quality, taste and price. It is the key elements that help to formulate the winning formula for Lao Zhong Zhong. Please refer to www.ieatandeat.com for details review. 繼續閱讀

My all-time favourite wu xiang in Singapore, their pork roll is tasty with chestnut, sotong also very nice, love their tofu, very fresh and nice, and guan chiang is also very fragrant too, prawn cracker very crispy, fried popiah also nice, all taste so nice with their chilli sauce with peanuts and onions, but their staff got a bit of attitude because of their good business, all their ingredients are big , cheap, fresh and good, we always go back whenever we go cravings of wu xiang. Hidden gems in potong pasir mrt. 繼續閱讀

Famous for its crispy and delectable Five Spice, aka Wu Xiang, Lao Zhong Zhong had been shown in one of the local TV programmes, "Pai Pai Zhan, Cha Cha kan (Where the Queue Starts)".I was tearing in joy while enjoying the meal as the chilli is so "shioking-ly" spicy! Nevertheless their Wu Xiang is real good! I had ordered Poh Piah, Wu Xiang, Sausage, Octopus, Prawn Cracker with Egg and not forgetting my favourite Century Egg that comes with sliced ginger! Wu Xiang, Poh Piah and prawn cracker with egg were fried again to maintain the crispiness and this well compliments the sweet spicy tasting chilli . A slight disappointment would be its century egg which I felt is not chilled enough. All in all, this is a must go place if you are craving for Five Spice (Wu Xiang)! For those who cant take too spicy food, have some water by your side before you dip these mouth watering items into the chilli.Cost: S$9.00 繼續閱讀

Heard about this place but only get to try it recently. Leave it to my friends who went to choose the items for everyone to share.First thing i noticed is that nobody is having bee hoon to go with it. Then my friends told me they just sell purely 五香. After trying it, i know why. It's fresh, taste good and the chili goes well with it. The main focus is really just on the 五香 繼續閱讀
