Probably one of the most famous stalls in Old Airport Road, the queue grows quickly but the uncle also cooks quickly. The stall can be recognized by the music playing out of the boombox, and the auntie who takes orders very quickly. You can be the 10th person down the line and she's asking for your order! Good char kway teow! It’s oily, it’s black and it’s fragrant. Barely one minute after we placed our order, a plate of freshly fried kway teow was already presented to us. This kway teow had an intense wok hei, was moist and not too wet. Though I didn't eat chunks of lard but I could definitely taste the use of lard.

Probably one of my most favourite plate of char kway teow for now!

Dark sauce had consistently coated the noodles and kway teow with general ingredients like beansprouts, vegetables, cockles and even chinese sausage. The stall offers 2 variation of Fried Kway Teow, black and white. Though there were not much "Wok Hei" in the Fried Kway Teow, they were pretty generous with their ingredients which make it a decent plate.

Came here with friends for dinner on a weekday and my friend recommended the fried kway teow from this stall. From the look of the presentation, it seems quite tasty. After tasting, the kway teow is full of flavours both from the seasoning as well as the fragrance from the wok. Sufficient dark soy sauce, other seasoning is added and does not too salty. Lao Fu Zi kwayteow is pretty famous and it always has a long queue. I've tried this several times and honestly in my opinion, the dishes are alright only. They have both white and black kwayteow, and I presume white kwayteow is healthier. One thing about their fried kwayteow is that their ingredients are quite fresh. The cockles especially! Large, juicy and yummy haha.

The taste of the Char Kway Teow was quite yummy. It has enough moist in the dish and also not too oily feel as there were generous amount of bean spourts.

The cockles though given little had been fried just right, not too cooked or too raw.

Overall, the queue was quite long but it was worth the wait for a good Char Kway Teow.

I like that this plate of char kway teow is not too dry or too wet- the sweet black sauce covers most of the noodles evenly. The plate was really fragrant and each bite also revealed a slight "wok-hei" aftertaste. They were also not stingy with the ingredients- be it vegetables, beansprouts, cockles or lap cheong. Really enjoyed having their char kway teow!

Coming in with the smallest serving at S$3 and up to S$10 (probably for sharing, unless you are a real giant to finish all that amount of carbohydrates), we settled for a S$4 portion among many other food ordered to share between the two of us. This simple looking plate of fried rice noodles was anything but simple. Apart from the 20 minutes queue, I was struggling to find any flaws in the dish. The 'wok-hei' or thermal radiation of the noodles was really good and strong, imparting sweet flavour, savoury taste and essence through the hot wok to the food during the process of stir-frying. The flavours were in part resulted from caramelization and partial combustion of oil and charring at very high heat. There was quite a generous amount of cockles for S$4 worth and what we enjoyed most was that the caramelized flavours were consistent. The noodles were all well and evenly coated with the seasoning (sweet and dark soy sauce) and lard, making it ridiculously addictive. Yes, we know this is diet suicide, but this is exactly what we are talking about when we say 'make your calories count'.

This is indeed one of the best fried kway teow in Singapore. Purposely brought my gf here for this sumptuous food, as she is a glutton. Every gulp is simply mouthwatering. Well-fried with dark soya sauce and sweet sauce, the lovely kway teow is coated with distinguishing fragrance, every mouthful is simply irresistible. You can choose big plate with banana leaf or normal. But I don’t think it makes any really big differences. But i choose big plate cos im a big eater.
