Nowadays, I hardly patronize snack stalls. I like to get some snacks to fill up my stomach. I go to Old Chang Kee where I know that normally I can get some good snacks. This time I choose two types of the fried squid. There is the stick string of the squid’ body and there is another stick string of squid’ head. Both are crispy and tasty. But I prefer the first one which is more chewy and tender. The price is $1.10 per stick.

the fried foods here are not overly oily, which is good. their deep fried yam sticks are amazing! highly recommended. very yammy. they also have yam puffs and pineapple puffs. love their curry puffs. and their sesame balls are fantastic. the filling is green bean that's been mashed. you can still see the green bean pieces. very reasonable pricing as well. love the glutinuous sesame shell which is done to perfection! just thick enough, not oil dripping, and lots of sesame!

The standard few items that I would order from Old change kee will be their fried chicken wings, the pineapple pie and their curry puffs. These snacks are my favourites although at times I would try other items.The chicken wing was nicely fried but a little bit oily. The meat was tender and you can taste the spices used in the marinate. The skin was cripsy and delicious. It is a good occasional snack. The pineapple pie was really good and I love it too.
