Tucked in a little corner of the coffee shop, Lian Soon Huat Seafood plays a majority portion of serving food to most of the tables where I can see number of big families tables gathered over some home cooked dishes and fish head steamboat. Though Bukit Panjang may sounds a little bit distant to me, Im quite surprised to see that place was bustling with human traffic.Authentic Hokkien Mee taste with the used of pork lard. Sinful yet straight to the point keeping the traditional ingredients, Yellow Mee was flat with sticky brown gravy. All was good and scored slightly better than the average.Crispily fried with the fermented bean paste, this dish was new to me from a Cze Char Stall. Not only did the presentation had blown me away, its taste was rather special to me. Though it was a little sinful with the belly meat, it was worth some calories I thought.Adorn with Singapore's National Flower, it make the dish stands up more with its purple bright colour.Hotplate Tofu was decent, came with a few pieces of fried tofu with egg sticking to the base of hotplate. The dish was bubbling hot when served, sweet and tasty to my liking.A fragrant pot of 3 cups chicken infused with curry leaves. However it was lacking of the 3 cups wine taste and was too oily. Drum meat were used and the soy taste was not well absorbed into the meat. Here's a little up close on the chicken in the scalding hot claypot.More reviews? Visit www.umakemehungry.com 繼續閱讀
