I always like to order sushi platter for parties! Got variety in a platter to suit everyone! And it's the month of festive celebration - Christmas! Sakae Sushi has a Christmas theme sushi platter. Look at the star shaped! Love it!I used to frequent Sakae Sushi for their buffet but it gets less impressive as time goes by. But for their platter, so far hasn't disappoint me! 繼續閱讀

I remembered how I used to love the dishes in Sakae Sushi in the past (a couple of years ago) as the quality of the food used to be much better then. It’s quite disappointing to see how much the quality dropped in the food. I went to the Junction 8 outlet for sushi the other day. The rice tasted hard and the topping felt cold. Overall, it did not taste appetising. Thought it felt like the sushi were left there for awhile. The outlet was not very crowded probably because I went there in the afternoon on a weekday. The service staff were polite and attentive to us. Price: Around $10 each person for sushi and hot green tea. Ala-carte. I believe there are many places which offers better quality and variety of sushi. 繼續閱讀

Sakae Sushi has a chain of outlets everywhere and has been around for some time. I remember the days where it had its huge hype especially among students for their teatime buffet where you'd get to eat-all-you-can, with one red plate, dessert and a bowl of udon. Recently, I was back at Sakae Sushi @ Bishan J8 to have dinner. We made it our choice for the night as my boyfriend and I were both famished and what's best about Sakae is that they have food ready-to-eat on the conveyor belt. We grabbed them as soon as we got seated down. It's been a while for me and Sakae now has new pink plates priced at $3.95 as well as other new items in their menu.I am upset to say that the standard has dropped though. It seems to me that it's like mass production now. Staffs are inefficient too, we had to request four times for our fried food items to be served and they only arrived at the end of our meal despite having them ordered at the START of our dinner. It took them approximately an hour to finally arrive and to my amazement, they were actually served cold. I don't know if the blame lies on the waiters or kitchen staffs but clearly, the management should do something about this. The sushi tasted very average, like the ones at supermarket you'd get during after-8pm clearance, they were still edible though.I can't say more about my recent experience other than pure disappointment now that I am aware about the drastic drop in standard, Sakae Sushi is a no-no. 繼續閱讀
