Had sushi buffet at Sakae sushi. I love going to their buffet be it lunch time or tea time. However the way they classify their customers seems a little different. For normal buffet places, they have this catergory for student where you flash your student pass and get a discounted price. For sakae sushi, they do not have the student catergory, but they replace it with a youth catergory where the maximum age is 21 to enjoy the discounted price. Guess they wanna be different. When you enter into this area, be prepared to see plenty of sushi choo-choo ing your way around the table ;) I like eating food with some form of entertainment, and it's fun how you can pick your sushi off the belt, and I like it when they serve the specials too, like salmon sushi or soft shell crab ones. Yum! Price isn't so cheap, but it's a great place to chill out with your friends (Tip: You can order more sushi but pay less when you're with friends haha!)

Went to sakae sushi again! this time not having buffet but didn't order ala carte food. haiz, should have eat the buffet which is more cheap and worth it.. unagi temaki & soft shell crab temaki ($1.99 each)the seaweed (nori) used were fresh, and have some roasted flavour. This is the Beef udon bowl I order from Sakae sushi~ the soup was just average for me, but I simply like it~ the udon was quite soft in texture. And the beef they served were too little for me. But I think it is worth well because my sister had actually purchase 50% off voucher for the beef udon~ so it only cost about $5~

Sushi!I like the sushis! It's the nicest among all the other shops. Being a sushi lover I can eat more than 10 plate in a stroke. but due to $$ constrain, I can't. I should have tried their buffet which is consider quite worth it.. $13.99 per person. But my friends say during buffet time the sushi on the row is few, only few type of choice. Fried scallops at Sakae Sushi costs $1.99 per plate. The scallops seem to me like those sold in the frozen section of the supermarkets where you can just simply bake it in the oven. I was not really satisfied with the taste of it. I didn't feel the price of the scallops were justifiable for the quality of the food. I will not order the fried scallops again.

Passed by this outlet during tea time and decided to dropped in to satisfy my sushi cravings.Ordered some red and normal coloured plates to try.Service was rather slow here, i had to request 2 times for my ice water to be refilled.The sushis tasted good but would be best if they could chill them before serving to make them taste better.I hearts the lobster salad sushi, very nice.

Sakae sushi, a place where's sushi lovers will love this place. However, it mainly only has sushi, so you will get full rather fast. If you are sushi lover, I will recommend you to choose the buffet instead of ala carte. Overall,I quite like sakae sushi but it will be better if the price is lower. Cause it's around $17 for students and around $20 for adults. So, it's rather expensive.

Although we have tried countless of the Chawanmushi from Sakae, but I must confess that this is the first time we order this Unagi Chawanmushi. Imagine have a few pieces of tasty grill eel on top with a cup of smooth and silky steam egg custard. Both Rey and his classmate enjoy this little treat which they called it "pudding".I am always fascinated by its vibrant colour combination.
