lor mee & mee suaThe noodles taste very ‘clean’ as there is not a lot of sauce used to stir fry it. The prawns in the noodles are very fresh too! we had very delicious noodles, kind of white (Xing Hua Lor Mee) as per attached photo. I like the decent Chinese food there. i am a fan of pu tien. Our family will at least eat it once a month. My favourite is the sweet and sour pork with lychee. I love the way they deep fry the pork and drizzle the sweet and sour sauce on the pork. The lychee gives it a sweetish sourish taste. I also love their garlic fried chicken. The garlic indeed add a lot of fragrance to the chicken. The fried hing wa bee hoon is another must order. The bee hoon is surprisingly thin, it is very fragrant with a lot of ingredients! Pu Tien can never go wrong in my book. It always achieves consistency in all my favourite dishes, regardless of visit or outlet. This time round i was at Putien @ Marina Square for a gathering with my old school mates. I must say this outlet is not very suitable for gatherings because firstly its a very small place. Secondly, they only have a couple of big round tables which are usually already reserved (do reserve because then you can skip the inevitable queues, especially if you are coming in a group of more than 4). The best they could do was squeeze 6 of us into one seating and the rest at another part of the restaurant. Food wise my favourite dish this time was the sweet and sour pork - it wasn't too soggy or too fatty and the sauce was marvelous. look at all the fresh seafood I get to eat at Pu tien restaurant! That is really wonderful. And I felt high class when I dining there. As they really served us a high quality chinese food. Visited Pu Tien Marina Square twice and both visits are awesome :)The resturant is clean and quiet coupled with efficient attentive service.Their speciality buns have never failed to impress my guests.Its crispy sweet on the outside but fluffy soft inside. The sessam seeds added on a tangling aroma to the bun. The fillings are tender soft and fragnant. If not known, I would not even have guessed its pork. Thumbs Up!Another must have is the garlic cockles.Its fully cooked and fresh.The gravy is a mixture of a bit sweet, spicy and sour.The Pork Floss Brinja is another not to be missed.Its crispy on the outside but tender soft and juicy inside.Overall, the dishes served at Pu Tien is great except for their vegatables and toufu.…查看更多

Pu Tien is one of my favourite restaurants serving Chinese cuisine. It is budget friendly and the food served there has its own uniqueness.I'll never fail to order Pu Tien's lor mee. Beside the fact that it is served with white gravy, the bowl will be rich with seafood, vegetables and everything else that makes it one of the most popular dishes.The homemade beancurds are so smooth, they almost melt in the mouth. This is also one of the most ordered dish to go with my lor mee. And when they are eaten with Pu Tien's specialty chili sauce, I can just say bagus!Nobody can resist the herbal soup that comes with the bamboo shoot prawns. I went to pu tian for dinner the other day with my family. We order my favorite nine fold intestines. When eaten with their special putian chilli dip. It was totally heaven. The intestines were very soft and tender. It does not have a bad smell. Their chilli dip has this special taste. Sweetish sourish. Really good. It goes well with almost everything in the store. I fell in love with this humble dish in Shanghai when I had it for the first time. Pu Tien’s version of spinach with salted egg and century egg ($12.90++) is superb, all thanks to the sweet and flavourful supreme stock!The stir-fried yam ($10.90++) is what made me interested to visit Pu Tien. Coated with a sweet sticky glaze, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these little cubes of carbs didn’t disappoint! So addictive that I pretty much finished this whole dish on my own, haha.Another star dish of the night for us was the homemade beancurd ($8.90++) which had an incredibly smooth and silky texture.
