This place is always crowded during lunch hour but the food here is so suitable to our taste buds, that my wife waited patiently for our orders to arrive (LoL).The waitress took our orders promptly and served us side dishes, which we "attacked" happily due to hunger and great taste. Our favou rite side dish is mashed potatoes. It ain't those instant powdery type, not too sweet and there are even diced carrots mixed together giving that unique crunch.Ginseng chicken soup is always my first choice. Pour the rice into the soup makes it even tastier as the rice soaks in the flavourful soup. Chicken is tender and juicy.My wife ordered beef soup but did not quite enjoyed it. Was back to my favorite korean restaurant for some authentic korean bbq food! i am pleased that the quality of the food is still as good as before.We ordered 2 types of meat for bbq (which is the minimum) and both were pork. one is pork belly and another is marinated pork loin. Was more excited over the pork loin as i neevr tried before this.overview of my dinner! they have unlimited sides too which consists of vege, bean sprouts, mash potato, kimchi and fish cakewe also ordered something different from our past visit - spicy rice cake. which is very chewy and tasty. my only complain is that it isn't spicy enough!last but not least, i am totally in love with the pork loin! very well marinated and the pork taste super good with the cabbage wrapped around it and with some kimchi inside. not to forget i also love the grilled egg! its one of the thing that i like about daebak as not all korean restaurants in singapore have this.overall, i am still very satisfied with the food standard here. however, i do notince that the staff no longer help us cook and cut our bbq meat anymore. was quite sad about it as i like people to serve me (well who dont?) …查看更多

I am a big fan of Korean cuisine, especially Korean BBQ, so one day I decided to head to Wong Dae Bak Korean BBQ Restaurant with a bunch of friends. The restaurant serves mainly pork, but with other meat such as chicken and beef too. We ordered pork and chicken meat as well as some Korean side dishes such as the pancake. There was a suction thingy on top to help inhale all the smoke away as the meat cooks and though one would not escape from the cook-out smelling fresh as daises, it does help a little.One thing I absolutely love that is different from all the other Korean BBQ restaurants I have been to is that there is a indented circumference surrounding the grill where you can cook eggs in. You can choose whether you want your eggs to be half-cooked or fried. AWESOMEEEEEEEE. (There is a free flow of eggs and side dishes! Dae Bak korean bbq is very authentic and it is run by the koreans. I love everything in this restaurant! We ordered pork belly and spicy beef , kimchi soup and rice wine. The meat are well marinated and the staffs will come and bbq the meat for you. Shown in my pictures, on the charcoal grill, it comes with refillable grilled egg! taste so yummy when eaten together with pork belly and the korean bbq sauce kimchi soup is good, thick and yummy! The side dishes are delicious too. They also have seats which u can open them up and placed your bag inside to prevent ur bag from catching the smokey smell! excellent idea However it is quite pricey. the total bill was around $100. I must say i really love this place. I was an early bird there so that places wasn't very crowded. The waiters and ladyboss was very nice and friendly to us, I really liked their service, which explains why I gave them a 5 stars for this aspect. Food wise, good and quality food for pork and meat, but I wouldn't suggest beef because they are very pricey. A must-try dishes are like the spicy marinated pork belly and pork shoulder-loin. Go in a group so that you get to try out more dishes with your friends and share the price. Mom does not take beef and prefer non spicy hence we opted for Pork Belly & Marinated Pork Loin. After the order was taken by the korean waitress, a pot of red, hot glowing charcoal was placed in position and on came the heat!The meat came shortly together with 7 side dishes which includes the ring of BBQ egg on the grill. I was pretty impressive with the egg idea. Its innovative, convenient & add colors to the grill.Except for the cold salad like side dish that you see below, the rest of the side dishes were pretty disappointing. The kimchi wasn’t that great either.The meat dishes however were the saving grace. The pork belly was tender & juicy (with melted fats) and tasted great any way you choose to eat it. I go for lettuce wraps while mom is contented to just have them with rice.Did I mention the colors of the BBQ pork belly were gorgeous. The fatty parts practically melts in your mouth….For the health conscious – Putting the meat on the grill longer for lower fat content but be warned that the meat will be alot less tender.Next came the marinated pork loin. The helpful waitress help us to cut the chunky portions into smaller, manageable pieces. The marinated meat offers a tint of sweetness with each succulent bite you take. The meat has a fuller texture compared to the pork belly.Overall a great dining experience, we really enjoyed the bonding session, the delicious meat sets & the entire smoke free BBQ process!
