In Yuhua Hawker Centre, there are many stalls with long queues in the morning, one of them was Lai Heng Handmade Teochew Kueh. They made the Teochew Kuehs at the stall front and freshly steamed by batches in the back. There are steamed or pan fried kuehs. I had ordered a mixed of Teochew Pan Fried Kueh at three for $2. For breakfast on sunday, my wife and I went to this food centre for a change instead of eating at home. We saw quite a lot of tables having the kuehs bought from this stall and we decided to try it as well. It still tasted good even after left it for a few hours. The filling for the soon kueh is the usual turnips, carrot and dried shrimps.
