great restaurant, food here is great with high quality. small dishes and very enjoyable. food is tasty, seasoned well and good sized portion, allowing us to order more. mid range restaurant not too expensive and quite value for money. would definitely be back again and will recommend others.

Laid-back ambiance, deco was en pointe, and did I mention that the service was excellent? The Yakitori that I tried (chicken thigh, iberico pork collar and sh!take mushroom) were grilled to perfection and the house sake complemented them perfectly. Oh and the Mentaiko Rosti offers really unique blend of flavour and texture that is definitely worth a try! All in all, it was a wonderful experience which brought me back to my days at Izakayas in Japan. Would strongly recommend this place if you’re looking to have an authentic Japanese experience and a place to chill with your friends!

ShuKuu Izakaya is a pretty decent place to have a meal and chill (with sake of course) after a hard's day work. The quaint restaurant boasts excellent cust service, as well as respectable homemade mince pork cutlet (which I had the pleasure of having during my visit ) Fried to crisp golden perfection, and flavourful to boot, this dish is 10/10 recommended. Would definitely revisit the place!

Decided to try one of the many izakayas around Tanjong Pagar after work with my friends, did not regret it. I was quite impressed with the variety of food they had. They had chicken heart, liver and gizzard yakitori, just like they serve in Japan itself. The side dishes/appetizers like the gyu ponzu and the ika kuro age were really yummy, and went well with my cold sake (which was served in a very interesting jug that keeps the sake chill throughout). I would also personally recommend the negitoro don, which was just delicious.

Food was very different from the normal japanese food you will find in singapore, but it was really good. Would recommend the negitoro don (minced tuna belly with rice) which was the highlight of my meal. The house sake was pleasantly sweet and light and it went really well with the yakitori skewers we ordered. Mario, our waiter, was extremely polite and helpful in helping us with our orders. Kudos to him!!The place reminded me a lot of the little road side stores along shinjuku where the middle class workers would go for yakitori and alcohol after their work.
