Unsure of what to eat today, we stumbled into Hokkaido Menya Kaiko and decided to try their ramen out, since it was a cold day, I was hungry and I love ramen. It is a spacious Japanese restaurant with clean cut furnishings and warm service. A glass of Green Tea was served on the house, the moment we entered.I had the Hotate Hokkaido Ramen (SGD$16.80) - scallops ramen, to be exact. There were some chives, vegetables and bamboo shoots etc amongst the large and juicy scallops. The broth was all right - nothing to rave or rant about. The noodles were very average and not springy at all. For that price, it was rather disappointing.
