The food was great, had the Spicy Pan Mee and the chilli was really good. It is being served separately so you do not have to worry about a serving that's too over or underwhelming. 繼續閱讀

Located at the corner of the level 2, we found ourselves at Face to Face Noodles House. Heard it was their first store in Singapore and since we were tired of eating expensive cafe food, we decided to give Face to Face a try.Ordered a Traditional Sarawak Noodle Value Combo Set, which includes the noodles, a drink and a snack. The noodles were really good and springy, I guess that's what you get when you hand make your noodles. The traditional Sarawak noodles was paired with golden crisp fried wantons, succulent char siew and fresh greens. It also had this minced pork mixed into the noodles, coupling all these with their home made chili - it was truly fantastic. The chili wasn't too spicy and it had a mild salty and sweet taste to it. Don't be afraid to try it.Lastly, my drink was honey lemon and I had their fried fish cake for my snack. The fish cake was pretty good and the drink was really refreshing. It was a good finish to the meal. All in all, we truly enjoyed ourselves in the cosy ambience paired with affordable and yummy food. 繼續閱讀

I usually don't like ban mian, but the taste of the traditional sarawak noodles sold me! Love the char siew! I got the value combo and tried the wings, which are rather average tasting in my opinion, and their green tea, which went well with the noodles! The portion of noodles given was quite a lot, so i would just get a bowl of noodles and a drink next time 繼續閱讀

Face To Face Noodle House 面对面 has finally made its way to Singapore's City Square Mall after having more than 30 outlets across Malaysia. With dry Pan Mee gaining its popularity, I was excited to pamper my stomach with their hot and spicy Pan Mee. While the minced pork are well-marinated, I felt that the crispy anchovies were the highlight of the noodle dish. The anchovies were salty enough to elevate the savoury nature of the dish, and the crispness were a delight in the mouth, shattering immediately upon mastication adding texture to each mouthful. The noodles came with their special house chilli which was served separately. Nothing extraordinary about the chilli, but it definitely gives the noodles, which were originally tossed in dark sauce, a boost in shiokness. Do not be shy to ask for another serving of chilli if you are a fan of spicy food!We ordered a super value combo set which came with a bowl of noodles, a side dish, and a drink. Choices of side dishes include Chef’s Special Fried Wantan, Deep Fried Fish Cake, Bacon Cheese Balls, and Fried Taucu Wings.I bit into the cheese ball without any expectation but was pleasantly surprised by the lava-like cheese that came oozing out. My only complain would be it came in a single piece and I did not have enough of it The set allows you to choose between some typical beverages like organic green tea, camomile tea, honey lemon (hot/iced), and multigrain soy milk. If there is a drink that you should try, it would definitely be their Caramel 3 Layer Tea ($4.50). It is not included in the value combo set but you won't regret spending a bit more on it.Overall, the experience was a pleasant one with the humble yet comforting food, a spacious dining area, and prompt service. If you are not staying anywhere near Farrer Park MRT or too busy to head down to the restaurant for a dine-in experience, you might be interested to learn that they have recently provided delivery services! 繼續閱讀

Original Review at http://www.nahmj.com/2016/04/11/face-to-face-noodle-house-singapore/Face To Face Noodle House Singapore is the first outside of Malaysia outlet. It is located at City Square with the Farrer Park Station connected. It is easy access for patrons to get to the Noodle House. The story of Face To Face began over 100 years ago, with the founder’s great-grandfather left China for Hong Kong in 1903 to seek his fortune. After finding a job as a chef’s assistant in a local restaurant and winning the Chef’s trust through his diligence, he was allowed the opportunity to learn the art of making Jook Sing noodles, considered one of the rarest forms of noodle-making in existence. It’s success story did not come easy. According to the noodle house, it went bankrupt twice before gaining fame for its brand in Malaysia.Once might have notice that that the setup seems like a fast food restaurant. Indeed that was the original concept. The Face To Face Noodle spokeman revealed that it has spent an hefty amount in the renovation of the shop. It has selected the straw hat with each represent a tribes in Sarawak. We thought it was very meaningful since the noodle originated from there. It has since changed from a fast food restaurant concept to a cafe with service after they have understand from their customers preference. Now, order is made by self at the counter and food will be served.MenuAt the Singapore outlet, currently, Face To Face has carefully selected 8 of its best noodles among the list that was available in the Malaysia outlet to showcase in Singapore.First on the list is the Creation Pork Pan Mee ($8.90). It uses the pork belly for the braised meat and sauce. With the good ratio of fats, it added fragrance to the noodle. This is love almost the diners at our table. The second to be introduced is the Black Pepper Pork Chop Pan Mee ($12.90) for the black pepper fan. Personally, I didn’t find any special to this bowl of noodle. For the Szechuan Mala fan, you might want to turn to Sichuan Piquant Pan Mee ($10.90). The soup is fiery. Most were shocked at the spice level. So beware when you are about to sip the soup. There are a total 5 signature noodles on the menu of Face To Face Noodle House Singapore. First, is the Traditional Sarawak Noodles ($8.90). This version is adapted to Singaporean palatte. The texture, firmness and even the moisture of the noodle and of course the Char Siew Meat in the bowl too. The noodle in the bowl uses a 105 years old recipe which was since Face To Face Noodle House started in Sarawak.Next is the Hot And Spicy Pan Mee ($8.90) is also another hot favourite at Face To Face Noodle House Singapore. I enjoyed especially the ikan bilis. This is the dry version. The soup version is the House Specialty Pan Mee ($8.90) which we didn’t order. The Genki Herbal Chicken Soup Pan Mee ($12.90) is also the other signature limited daily quantity. It uses a good number of various herbal to boil the flavourful soup based. Each day, it is limited to 25 bowls. The Curry Chicken Pan Mee ($11.90) is another limited quantity item, also at 25 bowls per day. The curry flavour is light, it does not overwhelmed at all. While the chicken is tender. The last limited item at 20 set per day is the Hakka Yong Tau Foo ($7.50).If diner like to have some snacks together with the noodles, 4 dishes were offered; Chef’s Special Fried Wantan ($4), Deep Fried Fish Cake ($1.50), Fried Taucu Wings ($4.50), Bacon Cheese Ball ($5.50).At Face To Face Noodle House Singapore, it offers a good range of Hot and Cold Drink. The signature drinks are the Iced Signature Organic Coffee ($5), Caramel 3 Layer Tea ($4.50) and Multigrain Soymilk ($3.50). I went for none but the refreshing Longan Ribena ($4).Though food may not be come cheap, Face To Face Noodle House Singapore may be a good alternative to the only other famous Ji Xiang Sawarak Kuching Kolo Mee in Singapore. For more reviews, visit http://www.nahmj.com/ 繼續閱讀
