So it was around 10pm and my partner and I decided impromptu to have steamboat for our very dinner (cum supper). initial choice was to go crystal jade's at holland village since they offer the option for late night steamboat. But it was fully book so we search from Google and saw this - xian pin guo. called up and despite the late hour, the lady boss is all smiley and reserve a place for us. when we reach we were quite surprise that we are the only customer at 10.30pm. Well instead of giving us black face, the lady boss and her helper are still friendly and was fast to bring out our orders. The prawns we asked for are very fresh. been long since I had fresh prawns in a steamboat buffet place haha. they also have cooked food items such as their signature prawn with very nice mushroom sauce, chicken nuggets, drumlets (well marinated) and etc. for the soup broth we chose the herbal and tom yum soup. both soup tasted good esp the tom yum which is sour and spicy. definitely will be going back again!

Xian Pin Guo Steamboat with ex-colleagues! This is a very special buffet steamboat! They serve great chi char dishes apart from the usual steamboat condiments! Absolutely love their juicy fresh clams which is nicely fried with garlic, spring onions and ginger. The clams are so favourful and it is really doing the clams injustice if you stop at 1!

My friends and I were wandering along Joo Chiat Road sourcing for a place to have our dinner and we spotted this steamboat buffet restaurant - 鲜品鍋. We find that the food and services are fantastic and I would like to recommend this restaurant to all food lovers out there.The restaurant is air-conditioned, neat, clean and nicely decorated. Certainly a cozy place to dine in. What's more, the steamboat ingredients and drinks are served to us by the friendly staffs. So we just have to sit back, relax... and enjoy the delicious steamboat They have 3 kinds of soup bases – Tom Yum, Chicken and Herbal Soup. All tasted great especially the Herbal Soup (highly recommended by me ) Their specially made sweet and spicy chili for the steamboat is excellent too, you will sure love it. The must-try cooked foods are the Sambal lala, prawns, fried drumlets and fried rice. Do not think lightly of these cooked dishes, they are truly mouth-watering. YUMMY! You gotta check it out!!!

Was at along joo chiat road somewhere near the dunman hawker centre and saw this steamboat restuarant . I think I saw some good review somewhere so give it a try since I and my wife were craving for some soup base food. Well, the soup is very fantastic especially the herbal (I strongly recommend) not only the smell is nice but also very tasty. I was surprise to see there are also fried seafood in the buffet list as the price is only 18.80 per pax. I tried the fried house special prawn and also the lala , it is indeed very delicious and the prawn are so fresh and big unlike other steamboat restuarant using all the small prawn. Overall I think this restaurant is worth going as if we were to eat seafood like prawn , it will cost us per plate like 15 to 20 dollars. And the restaurant is only charging us 18.80 per pax!! Before I leave the restuarant , I heard from the staff there will be promotion coming this weekend until end next month like 10% or 20% discount . I surely will return to eat again as it will be very cheap after the discount and somemore the food and soup are so delicious and nice.

Through my friend's recommandation...just now dinner time tried this newly opened steamboat buffet restaurant 'Xian Pin Guo' along Joo Chiat Road, WOW...i'm really impressed with the soup!! Especically the herbal and tom yum soup!! Nice~!! Not like those of many steamboat joints, many of which the soup is blend, tasteless, or even full of MSG which made you thirsty. Xian Pin Guo's soup is 1 of the best I have tried in many years. And the raw food (especially the prawns) is very fresh. Their cooked food is also very yummy, e.g. SG style fried rice..special sauce fried prawns and lala...Next to their service level...i must tell you...excellent! The waiter and waiters are friendly..and at times..the cook (also the boss I think) will come around asking for feedbacks and ensuring that all the customers are comfortable and happy with the food.Priced at Adult $18.80 and Children $8.80, I feel that it is quite reasonable and considering the great food offering...great value I must say!I wa told that their website 'www.XianPinGuo.com.sg' offers more information and a map as well...Do try it out...you won't be disappointed...
