Huang Ji Huang is well known in China for it's stew pots with three sauces. There is now a location in Singspore that we visited. It is a new shopping mall in Jurong East MRT about three minutes walk away. They specialize in stew pots, which are different than hot pots. There are all your favorites on the menu including frogs and cat fishes. There are also more traditional things like beef, vegetables, etc.We passed on the cat fish meat and went for their special veggie stew pot with mushrooms and added beef to it. It was really good, spicy with great flavor. The veggies were great, the beef was good too. We optionally added a few other things that we don't recommend - noodles (get all over everything), and something else that I don't recall now but wasn't great. Best to stick with what they give you - it's huge, 2 people couldn't finish it unless you were REALLY big people and/or hungry. Adding the beef with enoki was good though. Very cheap, tasty and really something different than normal Chinese food.The service was excellent though the staff they helped us make the stewpot every step of the way - it cooks on a hot plate at your table. The place is spacious with 6-8 people seatingWe enjoyed our meal - a huge stewpot and lots of extras that we'd added and it all ran us less than $25.00++ per head count
