At the display shelf, there is wide variety of bbq meats, as well as, deep fried items. On the menu, it is filled with different bento boxes. Behind the small stall, there is a small dine in area. Looking at its Japanese curry rice menu, I decide on its chicken meatball bento ($4.70) for takeaway. The curry sauce is not spicy but more on the salty side. The meatball is juicy on its own. The hard boiled egg looks a bit out of place in this dish. The 2 pieces of boiled vegetables look quite sad.

I will come bishan about once a month for lunch. The reason I come here is because it is cheap and food serving time is very fast. Every time I saw people having their pineapple yellow rice so this time I tried it too. But I was disappointed, it tasted like just normal plain rice,not much fragrance enough. The saba fish was nice, but there was some bones which I don't really like. The waiting time was really fast, but hard to find a seat here, sometimes need to share with others.

Head to j8 lunch with friends , we decided to drop down at kuroya ! cause my friend once recommend me eat here , the pineapple rice and the soup was very nice especially the fishball it contain some special ingredient in it . i do not really know whats that but ! wanna find out more ~ go TRY !there's a lot of different set meal you can choose , so no worry that if you go there to eat again you have little choice to choose from

Kuroya meal sets are quite cheap on the whole. I paid $4.90 for my teriyaki chicken set with rice. The amount of meat they served was quite generous and it taste good. But unfortunately for the rice, I won't agree the same. The rice tasted dry and hard, didn't seem fresh. The outlet at J8 had seats and we could dine in. The seats were limited and we were lucky to be able to find a table. Though the food is cheap, but they don't taste good.
