Din Tai Fung is one of the world's famous Chinese restaurant, specializing in Chinese dishes and of course xiao long bao! Din tai fung always has a long queue especially during dinner time where you may expect to wait up to 1 hour. It is common to see many people standing outside the restaurant with a paper and pencil, filling up their orders while waiting for their seats. Many hoping that the waitress will call out their numbers so that they can finally get to have a meal in the restaurant.I ordered the fried rice with shrimp and eggs. This is an extremely popular dish, whereby it only consists of  rice, shrimps, eggs, and spring onions. This fried rice is really delicious, tasty up till the very last grain. The rice is soft and moist, definitely not dry. The shrimps are very fresh and succulent, not those small shrimps you usually find in other fried rice dishes. The rice is fried with lots of eggs which make it extremely fragrant and all the ingredients complement well together. In addition, the dish is not very oily! the steamed pork dumplings which contains minced pork wrapped in a delicate dough skin, which is then pleated, twisted at the top and steamed. The xiao long bao itself consists of a minimum of 18 exquisite folds which requires extremely great techniques and skills to master it well. The xiao long bao skin is soft and delicate, the interior is filled with the broth which is flavourful but quite oily. The meat which makes up the filling is tender and delicious! The way to eat the xiao long bao is to dip it in soya sauce with vinegar and put the whole piece in your mouth, to savour the taste and enjoy every bite of it smileThis is indeed a delicacy and a must to order at din tai fung! One will never fails to notice this dish at every table. 繼續閱讀

Conveniently located at the heart of jurong, this outlet at JEM definitely is still attracting a lot of customers to them. Due to it was a sunday when my friend and I wanted to dine in, we had to wait for a short while before getting seated. As usual, there was a crowd waiting for their number to be called (not in sequence because they will allocate the seats according to the number of people you have). This time, both of us ordered two longs of xiao long baos, one with crab, another one with pork. I prefer the one with crab because it has a more unique taste as compared to the pork ones and those outside. My friend loves the dan dan mian a lot too, but such a pity for me because I can't take spicy food. 繼續閱讀

Fried rice with fresh prawns $10.80 - the texture of the rice was moist and not lumpy. It was also very fragrant and the prawns were really fresh too.Crispy golden prawn pancakes at $8+ were really good. if you've been to DTF and did not try this, you're losing out! Although it was a little oily, the wonderful taste and texture made up for it. It gets addictive with every bite. 繼續閱讀

I'm quite particular with their food quality because hopping to different outlets of Din Tai Fung, there seems to be differences. But for at least, this outlet is one of their saving grace.Steamed Pork DumplingsThe steamed pork dumplings were good and especially when it comes to the dumpling skin texture, neither thick or thin and it actually brings out the taste of the soup and meat fillings within this tiny dumplings. Oriental Wontons with Black Vinegar & Chilli OilI'm always curious about this dish which I always heard from Taiwanese drama called 红油抄手 and I finally tried it. So it is just wontons in black vinegar and chilli oil with spring onions as garnish. But I'm quite impressed as having vinegar in this dish actually stirs up your appetite. Quite nice as in the filling are fresh, especially the prawns. Fried DumplingsIt is crispy on the outside while it's hot and the fillings are made up of minced prawns and pork if I'm not wrong. Nice to have if you want some munching.Noodle with Spicy SauceThe handmade noodles was good and in fact always better than machine made because the texture can be determined with the skills of the dough master. However it has no unique taste coming from it though it is spicy. A can-have dish if you are craving for some spicy food.I also actually ordered the Steamed Red Bean Paste Buns (not in the photo). It is quite mini in size, skin texture was just right and also soft, and the paste within has that subtle sweetness which non-sweet lovers can opt for it. 繼續閱讀

At Din Tai Fung, I usually order their noodles with pork cutlet as I tend to prefer to have 'soupy' food to eat, but today I decided to give their friend rice with pork cutlet a try! It was very delicious; The fried rice was very tasty and well cooked, and the hint of egg was strong and the smell was wonderful. The pork cutlet was glazed and fried to a nice colour and crisp - Each bite was tasty and complimented the fried rice well.Of course, Din Tai Fung is famous for their Xiao long Bao so of course I had to order some to eat! Din Tai Fung's xiao long bao is basically a dumpling with a bit soup within and a portion of juicy pork! You don't really need to eat it with any soy sauce or vinegar as the xiao long bao is laready extremely appetizing by itself! Simply a must-eat whenever you're at Din Tai Fung! 繼續閱讀
