Pass by this 1A outlet while on my way to work in the afternoon. The stall is quite clean and even though not much choices available at their shelving, but still they are all hot and fresh. The counter man staff is quite friendly and helpful. Have bought the sweet potato at $1, which is reasonably priced. Outer layer is crispy and not too oily. Sweet potato is sweet and fresh. Yummy!

Other than their signature curry puffs and yam puffs are my favourite, I also enjoyed having the sweet potato fritter sold here. The stall is small but the choices of deep fried fritters here are really a lot. For the price of $1 per piece, is consider quite a big piece and really affordable. The sweet potato is very fragrant and soft in texture. The deep fried crispy crust is very crispy and not too oily. One big piece is good enough to satisfy me. The counter cashier is also quite friendly too.

1A curry puffs are pretty famous and I always here about them so I decided to give them a try. The curry puffs and light and not too heavy with pastry that is not too thick and is fried to a perfect golden crisp. You have to eat these fresh so that they maintain their crispness. The crispy pastry contrasts with the potato curry filling which is flavorful and just spicy enough without being too overpowering

My family and I went to Singapore for short vacay. Went to Takashimaya Food Hall and stumbled upon 1A Curry Puffs. Curry puffs were the most beautiful I have seen; look like golden seashells. Bought 3 Curry Puffs to try. Oh! My! It was heaven in a bite. The light buttery pastry and curried potatoes, diced chicken and egg brought tears to my eyes. Wasn't greasy at all. Never tasted anything so good. Our flight departed on Tues afternoon, we decided to buy a big Tupperware container to fill 25 delicious 1A Curry Puffs and bring it back to HK for our family to try. Definitely make a point to try other flavors and buy back more 1A Curry Puffs on our next trip to Singapore.

1st time eating this..the outlook is so unique..with many layers of 'dough'..it's soft and crispy, just 1 bite of it you can taste the filling..unlike some other places curry puff is mainly the outer layer..the filling is not too watery or dry, the potatoes are soft too!and also with 1 egg, it really taste good..would like to emphasize that even though it is fried stuff,it's not too oily too.and it cost only $1.50! seriously, it is worth the price that u paid for..do try it out k!
