There is no clear definition of Rojak, it can be fruits or vegetables even fried snacks. Personally I prefer the traditional one.A good mixture of Cucumber, Beansprout, Pineapple, Deep-fried Tofu, Fried Fritters and Pear, it was a decent Rojak with basic ingredients. The shrimp paste was wonderful, sweet-tangy sauce with sugar and peanuts which provided additional crunchiness, the Rojak was simply gratifying. A squeeze of lime made overall Rojak much better. Hawker’s price $3.00 for the Rojak.

Popiah is one of the famous snack within the coffee shop before and after renovation. When I started to buy popiah from the coffee shop, it only cost S$1.00. Due to inflation, an ordinary poh piah costs us S$1.40 nowadays. I bought a poh piah and shared with my neighbour over dinner. Wrapped in the paper-thin translucent popiah skin filled the delighting scrumptious goodness of the warm juicy and tasty popiah fillings complement by the sweet sauce. A wonderful mixtures and riots of texture is obtained. It's really a culinary art as such thin skin can actually holds the filling firmly without allowing the sauce to spill. Chilli and garlic maybe a little overused here but overall it still taste fine.
