It's light orange sponge cake layered with fragrant lychee emulsion and raspberry jam, and with rose essence cream in the center is sure to win the hearts of those who loves fruit cakes . Being a big chocoholic , the Chocolate Wonderland appeals to my taste buds . Luscious chocolate sponge has layers of ganache, nuggets of cream cheese and crunchy praline feuilletine. I like how the different textures comes together. The above mentioned log cakes are available for orders and dine in ( in slices ) as well. My former colleague wanted to meet up for dinner, so we met up one Friday night. Both of us were craving for pasta, so we chose to dine at O'Coffee Club. But since we wanted a different setting, we went all the way to Raffles Place. It's not an al fresco place, which was a nice change. From what I rememberm the outlet is also bigger than Orchard's. We shared the Slipper Lobster Linguini since from experience, I'm never able to finish their pasta dishes. It's just gigantic! It was topped with one medium-sized slipper lobster, cut in half. The sauce is tomato based but it wasn't heavy. It was actually quite refreshing to eat. My friend and I enjoyd this dish. We also ordered an appetiser to share.

Was looking for something healthier to eat for my lunch so i had Caesar Salad with Smoked Salmon ($15.50++).I love the presentation of this dish. Looks very appealing. Also the smoked salmon is very well flavored. The salad taste fresh and healthy! Love the sauce too. Also, it is quite a generous portion that I couldn't finish it. Overall, I find that this place is rather nice to dine in with your friends or colleagues on a afternoon. Will be back in future to try the other mains.

I can't believe I didn't eat at coffee club for ages but went there twice this week! Instead of my healthier post days earlier, I opted for a sinful cheesy sandwich this time round coz i was feeling angsty. lol. Food cures all mood swings isn't it? Anyway no I was genuinely hungry and I'm not a big fan of pasta so I had a shot at their sandwiches. If you love cheesy stuff, you would definitely love their sandwich. I had a french moment looking at their menu. hehe.I chose the chicken and turkey sandwich because it had lots of protein. It was supposed to be topped with scrambled eggs but mayb i was too busy talking i only remembered the thick blanket of cheese.At first when i saw gruyere cheese I was afraid it might be too strong for me... and when i looked through the cheese there were some patches that looked like 'mould' but after digging a little realised it looked more like spices/tapenade. hehe. In any case it was still a good dose of the melted goodness and I must say for $13 I thought it was quite alright. I'l probably try out the mushroom melt sometime soon. =)My friend ordered the croque monsieur and similarly, we felt the portion was quite large and filling. It was cheesy in a different way and again, the creamy Bechamel sauce and mozarella makes for an overdose.Well, what can you say about a place that I go back twice within a week, knowing how fickle I am with food? =P

This Coffee Club outlet is always crowded at lunch so you'll have to be prepared to waot if you're ordering a hot entree like pasta or meat. However the evening crowd tend to stick to ordering drinks and tapas so food service is fast. The slipper lobster linguine $18.50++ was replaced with spaghetti and baby crayfish. The crayfish was small but tasty. However the pasta was a shafe beyond al dente and there was not enough of the hearty tomato sauce to coat every strand of pasta. Not bad but not exceptional either.
