Quick lunch over at Jurong Point. Wanna change the usual place of eating at Food Court to a better cafe, priced reasonably. Both on the same floor. Seafood hor fun. The portion is just right and with lots of ingredients like prawns, fish slices, sotong. Chicken claypot rice. The sauce is all concentrated in the centre, I need to mix them all evenly before having a tasty claypot rice. It is kind of ready made style. Not as fragrant as those cooked with the claypot over flames. There is not much

Chicken claypot rice. The sauce is all concentrated in the centre, I need to mix them all evenly before having a tasty claypot rice. It is kind of ready made style. Not as fragrant as those cooked with the claypot over flames. There is not much chicken though, have lots of bones. Despite that, it is still quite yummy.

Wanna eat some non-fried food for dinner due to sore throat. A1 Claypot house is the right choice at Jurong Point. It is considered quite new in Jurong Point. Fish with shredded scallop porridge. The fish slices and scallops are of reasonable portion.

Comes with a little green clothes peg by the side of the pot, the blazing fire almost got it burnt. I'm glad that the process of combustion of inflammable materials hasn't produce any foul smell afterall.

Additional egg was added to Claypot Century Egg Minced Meat with a topped up of S$0.70.
Sticky and gluey porridge together with minced pork and century egg. Good enough for the night. However do remember to keep a distance away from the claypot as it was hot.
Cost: S$7.90 (without Egg) / S$8.60 (with Egg)

Service
The guy who take cares of the queue had gotten me a seat quickly. Food was also served shortly after my order. Good Service and at no service charge.

Ambience
Packed as usual. However the crowd is well controlled by the proper allocation of seating by the guy. Empty utensils were cleared promptly and no scattered food were seen. Clean and bright environment.

Price
Save up the additional 10%! No service charge except on public holiday.

I will choose Mushroom Chicken Claypot Rice over Claypot Noodles (Ee Mee) for my dinner. Amazingly there is no burnt taste at the sides of the claypot. Condiments of the claypot rice are adequate to a certain extend, I realised having chinese sausages and salted fish in a claypot rice is a must. Checked. They have it.

Big chunks of chicken cubes are found together with black mushrooms. Braised juices of the mushroom ooze out as I bite on it. Sweet and Saltish tasting, making a decent blend with the white rice below.

Claypot Ee Fu Mee is nothing but very similar to Sheng Mee, just that the only difference is that the thick sticky gravy fills up to the claypot.

Overall AOne Claypot house tries to sell something similar to Zhi Char style but at a higher pricing. Afterall, we are still dinning in a mall, not neighbourhood coffeeshop. Food are move on average standards and the best deals given to customer is that No Service charge is rendered.

Hong Kong Style Porridge is also one of its signature dish. Congee comes with a handful of fried fritters, they are not golden brown in color but more towards a pale dough color. Cuttlefish slices are aplenty in the pot with braised peanuts. Overall condiments are quite decent.

Although "Cai Poh" Egg is not that oily and quite presentable by the look. It was an disappointment as Cai Poh were meagre and stingy. It tastes more towards of an fried egg.

Service
It depends on how one rate the service in different kind of aspects. The waiting time is quite long altogether from queuing to sitting. However staff are quite friendly and caring. When food is served, the waitress actually took two small bowls for us scoop our food in small portions without us asking. She even spend the effort to take chopsticks and spoons for us given that the utensils are just placed beside us.

Although it indicated that there are no service charge, I would say her service is above average.

Ambience
A squeezy environment and especially with crowds, one has to be careful when walking at the aisles. One of the table placement is quite odd shape and where the [person who sat on the cushion seat can only dine with half the table.

Price
Pricing and portion is steeper than normal "zhi cha" stall but overall its ok.

Recommendation / Tips
Pots are hot. Handle them with care and becareful not to be scalded.
