Ah Hock Fried Hokkien Noodles 亚福炒福建虾面 is the most popular Fried Hokkien Noodles stall in Chomp Chomp Food Centre. You are likely to see a plate of Ah Hock's Fried Hokkien Noodles on every table. We ordered a plate of Fried Hokkien Noodles $5. The Fried Hokkien Noodles is served in either $3, $4 or $5. Payment is made upon order and the food will be delivered to customers. After waiting for more than 40 minutes, our 'reward' arrived!Fried Hokkien Noodles $5There are many versions of Fried Hokkien Noodle in Singapore. Ah Hock's version of Fried Hokkien Noodles is- drier (not as wet. But there's still gravy at the bottom)- uses thin bee hoon instead of equal thickness of bee hoonFried Hokkien Noodles $5To my surprise, I quite like this plate of Fried Hokkien Noodle. Despite the fact that it was drier (compared to others) and uses noodles of different thickness. It was well-fried and richly flavoured. The mixture of yellow noodles and thin bee hoon had soaked up the essence of the broth and was just so delectable on its own. The pieces of squid and prawns hidden underneath the mixture of noodles and thin bee hoon were quite good too. The prawns were fresh while the slices of squids were well cooked; soft (not overcooked). Definitely worth the wait, it would have been perfect if it was fried with pork lard.http://foodiefc.blogspot.sg/2013/10/ah-hock-fried-hokkien-noodles-chomp.html 繼續閱讀

Secret-not-so-secret-anymore: this is my first visit to Chomp Chomp Food Centre - mostly because I didn't had the habit of dining out a few years back. But boy, I knew I couldn't miss out on this place which was slated to be one of the corners in this gourmet paradise city. One of the dishes I tried and a personal favourite was the Hokkien mee ($4) which made me wish I had a second stomach. Even though I was bursting at my seams - this was a meal for two! - I just wanted to keep going and going at this. Very wokhei, very luscious with the sauce, the hokkien mee was springy and delicious, everything hits the hokkien mee taste nail in my mind. 繼續閱讀

At $5, the portion is rather large and it can be shared with 2 people if you do not have a big appetite. The thin bee hoon is very fine and goes well with the noodles. The gravy is flavourful and is well absorbed by the bee hoon. The chilli also adds extra flavour to the soft hokkien mee, making it more delicious. Worth the try! 繼續閱讀

Travel all the way to Chomp chomp with my friend just for this hokkien mee. And the average waiting time that I've waited so far was 30 mins. But it was super worth it, since good things are worth the wait right.Notice that there are more thin beehoon as compared to the normal one we ate outside, not only that the prawns and sliced squids are fresh and well cooked too.Ah hock's hokkien mee is considered as the dry version, however there are still gravy at the bottom of the plate. Mixed everything with their sambal chilli and the flavour are perfectly balanced!Definitely coming back again! 繼續閱讀

This is a super popular hawker stall in an extremely busy hawker center after all!!Avoid peak hour as I waited for almost 1 hour... It was fabulous as it looked!! Although there wasn’t a strong presence of the smokey “wok breath” flavour, it’s so scrumptious it’s enough to make you forget that little imperfection...The flavours were perfectly balanced...There’s a good proportion of yellow noodles and bee hoon...No pork belly cubes were used, only prawn and squid, and they were tender and fresh...The fragrant sambal chilli deserved praise too, as it went very well with the noodles...I will probably be visiting them again!! 繼續閱讀
