I have a try for the dinner buffet at Peppermint restaurant during my stay in the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay. Variety of seafood and Southeast Asian local food. Apart from the buffet, I also try their lobster laksa under their a la carte menu o the other day which was also very tasty.

Thanks to $150 dining vouchers which i have won, i decided to choose AquaMarine for high tea with 2 of my friends! Haven't been here for quite long but i do come for chill out once in a while at the lounge area. So happy to be back at AquaMarine again to try out the food!

I was recovering from a bad cough so i was initially worried that i may not have much to eat. But still turns out alright with the range! Some items i quite enjoy is the macaroni with mushroom sauce, hot pumpkin soup, fish and grilled prawns. There's this christmas tree shaped bread topped with pesto and sea salt, it tasted quite nice despite being a bit cold.

The crowd was ok for a Sunday and it was a nice leisurely meal from 12pm to 4pm. Service was good too.

We were greeted by the smell of seafoods when we stepped into the restaurant. There is a seafood section right in the heart of the restaurant that drawn my attention. Various selections of seafoods are displayed beautifully on the section with labels on the side. Fresh oysters, snowcrabs and fresh prawns are the ones that you wouldn’t want to miss out.

Western cuisines and Chinese cooked sections are available at the right corner of the restaurant. Choices for Chinese cooked foods are limited. As for western cuisines, foods such as roasted chicken, pizza and spaghetti are available for serving as well.

Indian foods are found in one of the section where briyani rice, naans and various curries are served. I tried the naans and it was quite decent with the mutton curries.

There is also hands-on section where diners can customize their version of Singapore Laksa and kueh pie tee. Ingredients are readily available on the display.
Appertizer section that provides the salad selections and various cheeses are available too.
Japanese cuisine section is not a miss when comes to buffet. Fresh sashimi is a must to have for myself. There are three different types of sashimi served that day- Salmon, Tuna and sea bream. The chef will prepare the portion of the choice of sashimi on the spot upon request. I requested for 2 persons and he is quite generous with the portion and end up I didn’t went for the second serving. Tempuras, assorted sushi and chawanmushi are available at the section too.

Desserts section was an eye candy for me.The colourful spread of choices which tempt you to try almost all of it. The cakes are in a small portion so that we, diners can try a bit of everything. I think it is a good way to reduce wastage as well. Durian pengat is available too.I am loving it! Freshly cut fruits are available. There is also ice-kacang maker machine available for us to customize. Topping choices for ice-creams and ice-kacang are nicely spread across the section. Nyonya kuehs are found at the other side of the section next to the desserts.

Services are good as the service staffs are polite and smile to customers. Foods served on the sections are consistently filled by the staffs promptly. It is quite consistent and I think Aquamarine did a good job on this. Our buffet ended with a cup of tea served towards the end of the dinner. It was a pleasant dinning experience with Aquamarine.

Thanks to my friend who has invited me to have a big feast at this buffet restaurant. Restaurant is cosy and comfortable. The service here is friendly as well. Love their yu sheng which display very nice and with lots of colour. THe vegetables are very fresh and crunchy too. Chilli crab here is one of the must eat as the gravy is thick and appetitzing. We had lunch there just to try out the food as the Italian restaurant we used to visit was closed. We were told we cannot have wine bottle on the table as it was against the rules, however, they served us the wine but the bottle was opened and hidden from us? Very weird for a restaurant in a 5 star hotel.

The food was quite good, but for that price, they didn't have oysters on the cold section. However, their was a lot of spicy food. There was a wide selection of desserts and the egg tart is the best. In fact we complimented the chef who was walking around and clearing the dishes.

The ambience is ok, feels very café like with modern glass décor all over. Ask for a table away from the buffet table for more privacy.

For sumptuous food, service and ambience, Aquamarine is the place. Thanks to my daughter who had purchased a High Tea at Aquamarine deal from Groupon. Aquamarine offers assorted salads, an array of sushi, satisfying main course such as Chicken Rice, beef and fish, soups and rojak etc. They have a superb range of desserts, beautifully presented. The place can be very cold. So, be prepared. This place is definitely worth going to.

Bought vouchers from deal to celebrate my friend's birthday with their high tea buffet lunch. Since I have tried their lunch and dinner buffet in the past, I had high hopes of nice food that late afternoon. But I was a little disappointed in it. This is my plate of appetisers and sushi.The sushi was alright but tasted like any other sushi outside and was not special in anyway. The appetisers are not bad and my friends took a round of their salad. I wasn't exactly a salad fan so no salad for me X

Ok lets just say, if you are serious about offering some sort of dim sum for high tea, you might as well add in the common har gao or siew mai instead of lor mai gai and lotus paste pau(though both are not bad). The cooked food was passable.

And finally the desserts, it was the part where I was most disappointed at.

The only nice dessert on the plate was the egg tart and the chcoltate tart with strawberries on top. The rest tasted a little weird or just normal desserts. Being a fan of good desserts, I was really hoping for delicious desserts since it was a high tea buffet, but Aquamarin disappointed me.

The only dish that I went for second round was its Cream of Brocolli which was really tasty.

Aquamarine is a Halal restaurant in Marina Mandarin that serves an international buffet. We had a starter with a thai salad, some fried cheese ball and in the shot glass is a creamy chicken mix with a cracker. My favorite is the chicken mix. It's creamy with chunks of chicken that works well with the crispy cracker.

The sticky rice mango dessert is very nice! The mangos are sweet and there is a small bit of yam and crunchy crackers (I think they're crackers or something like cereal) which is really YUMMY (overused word).

You can’t say you’ve truly had your fill at a Thai restaurant until you try two main Thai cuisine stars – Phad Thai (Stir-fried Noodles with Prawn – pictured right) and Tom Yum Goong (Spicy & Sour Prawn Soup with Galangal and Lemongrass – pictured left) – and there’s no reason why you should give those a miss here.

Fresh oyters, prawn, tasty sushi . A lot variety of various seafood and petite savoury sweets desserts available!If you are a big fan of these two different categories of food, you will enjoy eating here!Whats better than eating at a place where they serve small size of food for tasting ? This way you wouldnt waste food and further more you could taste a lot more of different food available. Really value for money considering the fact that buffet is to eat a wide variety of food .

My Second Trip to Aquamarine, this time round , the spread is good.Buffet spread was rather good. The oysters were huge and fatty. Plently of cold seafood on ice. Sashimi cuts were fresh. Didn't really eat much mains. But the chill crab was good, same goes for the pork knuckles. The tempura prawn was great. Desserts wise - wide selection of ice cream, mousses and cakes. This restaurant is really beautiful and the service staffs here are really friendly and approachable. Enjoyed most of the cooked dishes here such as their stir fry rice noodles, mixed vegetables and stewed beef. The restaurant layout is really spacious and the design is more towards the 'sea' feel. A very soothing and relaxing venue to have a lovely high-tea with your loves one. I have tried several types of desserts from their buffet spread and I can say most of it suits my taste really well. Most of the food served were of great quality. I like the Japanese section and desserts section very much. The sushi and sashimi were very fresh & tasty. I asked the chef for a plate of mixed fish sashimi, & he gave me salmon, swordfish & tuna. Frankly I always only dare to eat salmon sashimi but the swordfish & tuna were really fresh & delicious too! I didn't regret asking for a mixed plate.

My colleagues helped themselves to a lot of the fresh seafood available too. At the desserts section, the most attractive food to me was the Durian Pudding hehe. It was quality durian! Of course the ice cream too, especially the yam flavour!

Some of the food that you may miss include: the rojak, as the sauce was too salty and the youtiao too tough; the char siew puff; and the beef at the first cooked food section which was quite tough.

If you have time for a sumptous buffet lunch, don't hesitate anymore, just come here.
