Good and affordable western fast food

Aston is my regular western restaurant if I want to have western cuisine but don't want to splurge too much. It always has a long queue but you may get seat real fast.They offer good range of main course from beef, fish, chicken, spaghetti, lamb. The main course except spaghetti come with two side dishes which separately hot and cold.I had tried their grilled dory fish with herb set with two side dishes. Aston is my regular western restaurant if I want to have western cuisine but don't want to splurge too much. It always has a long queue but you may get seat real fast.

They offer good range of main course from beef, fish, chicken, spaghetti, lamb. The main course except spaghetti come with two side dishes which separately hot and cold.

I had tried their grilled dory fish with herb set with two side dishes. It was my favorite among all in the menu. The sauce is just well matched with the fish.

The another set I tried was teriyaki grilled chicken chop which was also good in taste.

 I like their macaroni and cheese and corn and house vegetable. 

They served food very fast even the place was crowded. It's like a fast good chain restaurant.

The fish and the beef was nice. It would be perfect if the side dish (mac & cheese, french fries) were hot. They are served room temperature. coffee was luke warm. T restaurant was not packed, enough manpower, but they are very slow. The counter was outside. you have to order first. then have seating. Actually, overall was good. But I still prefer the outlet at the cathy. They maintain their standard.

Visited Astons recently because I was craving for some delicious grilled chicken yet I was on a tight budget. It was also a cold rainy night in town so I figured this should be the place. There was a queue of roughly 8 customers but I stood in line for less than 10 minutes. To improve efficiency, the staff gave us the menu to order in advance while queuing.  When we were seated, the food came immediately right after. The Lemon Lime Chicken ($8.90) was perfect for me as it came along with some good onion rings and smoking hot baked potato.

 My buddy got his Double Up Chicken ($13.50) whereby he selected the Hickory & Teriyaki chicken to pair with his potato salad and onion rings. For the price, it's considered really worth it when 2 huge piece of chicken thighs were served. I always love the grilled chicken at Astons because they are always grilled to perfection with some great sauce, all of their sauces are amazing!

 We also ordered Chicken Nuggets - 8pc ($3.90) to share and although it tasted pretty average, we were glad to have them cheaply.

 Since it was really cold in the mall, we got ourselves the Hot Chocolate ($3.50). Love the rich chocolate and milk taste but would also love the option of additional marshmallows in the future!

 Overall, I'm always on about going to Astons for any meal of the day because this place just never goes wrong!

I had the Hickory BBQ chicken with mac and cheese and potato wedges. The chicken chop is cooked just nice. Tender and not too hard. The sauce goes well with the chicken and give it a sweet flavour. I always loved eating the mac and cheese.

So if you are looking for decent western cuisine at affordable prices, head on over to Astons!

Cheap Comfort Food!

I have always appreciated the fact that whenever i crave for western food, and don't want to spend too much money, i can just locate an outlet of Aston's! They have outlets all over Singapore, and the best part is, i can have a super filling meal, without busting a hole in my pocket!!Usually when i go to Aston's, i go for the chicken because they're super succulent and because there are so many varieties! Usually when i go to Aston's, i go for the chicken because they're super succulent and because there are so many varieties! This time, i went for the fried one and the lemon lime one! Also, they have a new side now which is the mac n cheese and it goes really well with the chicken and the mash!

Aston's is awesome man! The crispy fried chicken that i got this time was really fried to perfection. Also, i hate it when my lemon-lime chicken is too sour but this time i think they got it right on the money! The double up chicken is the meal that is most worth it!!

Astons used to be and is still currently is one of my favourite "affordable dining places" with friends. Available in many malls, Astons offers meal combos that are not only affordable, but also value for money.  One thing I just love about astons, is that this whole meal is just < $10 per pax!! Awesome right?

The fish was nice as the meat was soft and the skin was crispy too! The portion of the sauce was just right, not too much as too much sauce could overpower the taste of the fish. The side dishes were average. The baked beans were in bbq sauce and the salad was quite fresh


Overall, this is definitely a good place for western cuisine, with affordable and great food!

Suggested to go Astons today at Bugis+ and my bf had the cravings too.I decided to order the Prime Sirloin.The Prime Sirloin costs $14.90, with 2 sides.I chose the onion rings, which I love, and their House salad!The steak came in medium - the last time I ordered, it was medium rare, and there were too much blood for me, and my mum kept nagging that I should eat it cooked!Before I went, my mum reminded me to get the beef cooked well.  The Prime Sirloin costs $14.90, with 2 sides.
I chose the onion rings, which I love, and their House salad!
The steak came in medium - the last time I ordered, it was medium rare, and there were too much blood for me, and my mum kept nagging that I should eat it cooked!
Before I went, my mum reminded me to get the beef cooked well. LOL, my mum is a darling.

Sadly, the steak didn't impress today.
I've to say, its visuals were good - look at the grilled lines, but on the first bite, the meat was too tough.
The mushroom sauce was too diluted, onion rings which I love tasted below-average.
The only passable item was the House salad - I LOVE VEGGIES

 For my bf, he tried the lemon chicken, which we thought tasted better than my steak.
It costs $8.90 with 2 sides - he ordered the mac & cheese and potato wedges (talk about boring LOL, joking)

Not much comments for the wedges, but the mac&cheese needs to improve.
The cheese tasted so diluted, it shouldn't be called mac & cheese, but mac & water.

Overall, passable experience there.
But be prepared to wait for 15 minutes during lunch hours!

Astons is one of my favourite for western food, as it is consider to be one of the cheap and good restaurant.I ordered a black pepper chicken with baked potato and house salad as my side. The chicken was tender and juicy, while the baked potato was damn tasty as the butter had enhanced the taste.However, I think the salad need some improvement as it was too soggy, but I think this meal is worthy of my $8.90.

I always like dining at Astons because of their food, ambience and reasonable prices! There are various Astons Specialties, Prime and Express outlets all over Singapore. Their mains come with your choice of 2 cold/hot side dishes. My all-time favourite side dishes are the potato salad, pasta salad or the baked potato! There used to be an express outlet at the food court near my house but it closed down recently, was pretty disappointed as the next nearest Astons Express is about 15-20 minutes :/ Anyway, except for their steak, the other mains like chicken, fish, burgers and spaghetti are all less than $10! I feel that they serve quality food at very affordable prices.

I ordered char grill chicken for lunch today accompanying by two complimentary sides of french fries and onion ring. The serving served was small but overall it tasted okay. In my opinion, there is nothing special and I may not come back again for the same dish. The ambiance was great and is suitable for catching up with old pals Besides that, Astons do not have any service charges. The price you see on the menu will be the price you are paying for. (:

Ever since they had Mac & cheese as one of their sides, I have wanted to try it. However, every single time I order it, the server would tell me that they ran out of it.
