Popular Japanese cheese tart shop Bake open its first outlet in Singapore on April 29, 2016 in ION Orchard. Hearing the news that BAKE CHEESE TART from Kinotoya Japan will be opening here in Singapore, I’m extremely excited as I no longer have to travel abroad for it. The store was cramped and small but you can constantly smell the sweet aroma flowing out from the store. The cheese tarts were priced at $3.50 each and $19.50 for box of 6. Due to the popular demand, each customer was allowed to buy only 12 pieces. As it is located in the food zone at Basement 4, there isn’t much space to queue. Hence, we are directed to the space infront of Watson to queue. There is the queuing area for the cheese tart. We queued about 1 hr during Saturday afternoon for the tart. When it was out turn, the staff passed us a yellow confirmation card. This confirmation card was meant to be a verification that it was out turn. From the queuing area, we walked to the store to buy the tart. In the store, you can witness the production of the cheese tarts. The tarts were constantly being produced to meet the demands. The sweet aroma of the cheese tarts make it super tempting for us to demand for more. Due to the popular demand, they ran out of boxes. So they packed 3 tarts into each paper bag. Buttery and crunchy tart base coupled with smooth, creamy and bubby cheese lava, makes it a perfect match. It was really heavenly. The wait for the tarts were so worthy to me. Me and my tarts~~ Love them a lot and would recommend them to my friends. I will be back for more.
