The restaurant is at the end of Amara Hotel with both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside the restaurant it looks quite dimmed, but we are lucky to be showed to a table just under the spot light. The ceiling is rather high with a huge mirror and painting decorating the wall. The tables are quite near to each other. The choices on the menu ($35++/pax) look good.
We start with : Roasted Tomato Soup, Basil & Extra Virgin Olive Oil which tastes quite thick, and Country Duck Terrine, House Made Pickles & Mustard which tastes a bit too dry.
Also add a recommended dish which is Tart Flambee ($12++) The Classic -Bacon & Onions. The crust is very thin and crispy. With just finely chopped onions and bacon, it tastes nice.
As for main course : Alsatian Choucroute Home Made Sauerkraut, Pork Belly, Smoked Sausage & Mustard Braised Pork which has quite tender pork belly, but the braised pork is a bit too tough, as well as, Slow Baked Salmon with Mint Tabbouleh, Cucumber, Tomato, Red Onion & Virgin Sauce which my dinning mate remarks that it is a bit too raw for her.
Lastly for desserts, there is : Apple Pie "Mom's Recipe" Cinnemon Crumble, which has soft apple slices, but letdown by a lack of cinnemon taste and too soft and dry crust, as well as, Traditional Creme Brulee which is served cold (I like mine warm and hot).
Overall we are wowed by the place but not the food. Serving is big. Service is a bit slow. Have to call for refill of water. Food is served quite fast except for dessert.
