It's a quiet Monday morning. Not many customers. I ordered a plate of black carrot cake. Before cooking, the auntie scrapped away the chao da (burnt leftover) at the side of the wok with the spatula. Beside her, there was a big rubbish bin. She held the spatula and hit on the bin a few times until the chao da dropped off. Then she started to cook. This will be my first and also last time eating there.

Chanced upon this stall. I have tried the one at bedok north blk 85 itself, but this is the first branch that i've come across in another coffeeshop. So i have decided to give it a try. Ordered the black carrot cake and i was amazed by how tasty it is. With the option to have it spicy or not? i had mine just a little and it was already great. My comment for this stall is that luck will get you the best quality. Why? Because, at times the oysters can be big, juicy and fresh with minimal oil. However, at other times, the oyster may turn out vice versa (shriveled and clearly not fresh). The good thing about the dish though is that the eggy yellow floury you know what I mean part, is... Seeing as the carrot cake price is quite reasonable, I decided to order one black carrot cake to try. The smaller portion is as expected since it costs just $2. Tastewise, the fried carrot cake was quite delicious with the sweet sauce and the chilli. The sweet sauce is not overly excessive and you can still taste some of the original taste of the carrot cake. The white one seems especially popular as well, maybe next time I will try that.

Egg omelette here are served in a big round portion with quite many pieces of oysters on it. Medium size oysters are used for this dish and you can really feel that freshness with that 'poke' sound when you bite on it. The egg omelette is not too starchy and is quite chewy and with that slight crispyness for your every bites. Been craving for fried carrot cake since yesterday and decided to have it for lunch today. It's really value for money, no wonder I always see a long Q during lunch time.Can't believe that i only paid $2.00 for a packet of fried carrot. So cheap! Reali cheap and good ya! I totally adore their fried oyster. Their oysters are huge and they are very generous. What is important is the freshness of the oysters and theirs are really fresh and juoicy. Their omemlet is very fragrant as well and the chili dip holds the delicious flavours of the oysters and egg together!

The carrot cake at Bedok 85 is really cheap as it costs only $2 for a plate of fried carrot cake (black). The portion was considered worth the money for just $2. The fried carrot cake tasted delicious as the amount of sweet sauce used was just right and they were fry at the right temperature. I will definitely come back for more of it.

Business bustles at this store with me waiting for more than 15 minutes despite only having 2 people queuing in front of me.
