We failed to try and eat 2D1N pork belly buffet, so my Korean exchange pals and I's last resort nearby was BiBiQiu - It's not barbeque, but BBQ alright! (that's the original name in Korea) and was totally starving since it was brunch turned delay to lunch and the chicken needed time to be served. We ordered the party/family portion, where we get 4 drinks, 6-8 pcs chicken (forgot), and a big platter of french fries. And so, this was a taste test to find out whether I have been eating authentic BBQ taste just what Koreans will eat in Korea. The platter was a mix, where we can choose the family set either all original fried olive oil chicken, or fried chicken + grilled chicken + spicy fried chicken, or spicy fried chicken. for around $50, so about $13 per person after tax and service etc. We ordered the second set to have a taste of everything, and after this, I'd still prefer the original fried chicken, which they fry their chicken with olive oil (the healthy part of this chicken parlor). The taste, as they have given their verdict, was that "it has the same taste like what we eat back home. But instead of serving it like per piece, we usually order per half/quarter/whole chicken kind of thing and of course, cheaper"Choice of drinks were root beer, sprite/7-up, coke. Root beer of course! Wherelse can we get them, not many fast food joints serve up this cool sweet drink.Watch out for the spicy fried chicken - it is spicy till I and my other Korean pal teared a bit after eating two! Was tearing from mid-way of one! Even she couldn't stand it. We had to order another drink. The management of BBQ must've upgraded their kind of level to suit the Singapore market. Quite annoying though as we know that we're paying 2x more expensive! 繼續閱讀
