Had the Chicken combo and kimchi soup with rice at Bonchon Chicken. The taste of the kimchi was really rich, perhaps a little too overpowering for my liking. There were lots of kimchi and some seafood dumplings in it (fillings tasted like seafood paste and was a tad salty). The rice was also quite lumpy. The chicken on the otherhand was slightly crispy on the outside and tender. The spicy sauce was sufficiently spicy and really good. But at $10++, it's not very worth it. Overall, it's worth a try. 繼續閱讀

Full Bonchon Chicken review here: http://ivanteh-runningman.blogspot.sg/2014/01/bonchon-chicken.htmlA South Korean fried chicken franchise that represents 'home', Bonchon Chicken is an international brand popular for, what else? It's finger licking, twice deep fried chicken that is coated in a special sauce that sticks to the meat, not to your fingers. This makes Bonchon Chicken unique, offering the least messy Korean fried chicken anywhere. The open concept ambience at Bonchon Chicken makes the restaurant feel casual and airy, enhanced by natural lighting. Design is functional modern, with a tinge of industrial vibe of steel and wood. Decor uses a form of typography, highlighting characteristics of the food at Bonchon Chicken, including their famous fried chicken.Service at Bonchon Chicken is casual, efficient, and orderly. Food practically flies out the kitchen, arriving very quickly at your table. Staff aren't much for conversation, but I like that they can advice on the menu items. Passable, but not memorable service.Their famous fried chicken is offered in either wings (plus drumlets), or drumsticks. They also have an option for a combo of both. Personally, I find the wings to be slightly better than the drumsticks, as the bigger piece of meat on the drumsticks is sometimes inconsistent. Otherwise, their fried chicken has a nicely crisp, savoury skin, and the meat within is bordering on moist and dry.Besides the fried chicken, Bonchon Chicken also does serve several traditional Korean mains and appetizers. I find the soups to be quite good! Oddly, Bonchon Chicken also offers several Japanese appetizers on their menu. Portions at Bonchon Chicken are suitable for small eaters, and pricing is among the most affordable for this type of Korean cuisine. 繼續閱讀

Bon chon chicken has come to singapore!!!!! we were so excited when we found out that it was finally here after trying it in the states, we had gotten completely addicted to it, and ate it three days in a row there!Ultra crispy and soaked with the juices of soy garlic. mmm you can choose from two flavours: soy garlic or hot sauce. i personally prefer the garlic one! it’s $13.90 for the large portion of wings (12pcs) and $19.90 for the large portion of drumsticks (9pcs). the drumsticks are huge!! definitely worth it ;)The one in USA is really wayyyyyyy better though! this one does little to match up unfortunately it’s not as juicy, and the flavour is more subdued than the original. oh wells. For full review and more photos, please visit http://thelittlemomentsofmylife.blogspot.com/ 繼續閱讀

The menu allows you to choose either ala carte or combo set. We went for the small combo set ($14.90) which comprises of 6 wings and 2 drumsticks. You need to choose which flavor : soy garlic or hot. You can also mix the flavors for medium and large sets. We chose hot flavor. We were famished (it was close to 9pm).. but luckily we didn't have to bang our tables to demand our food to be served immediately.. That's because within like 2 minutes after we made our order, the delicious fried chicken arrived. We were quite amazed at the serving speed. And we were grinning like happy kids after we bite into the chicken..The moist fried crunchy skin that cracked in my mouth. My craving was instantly fixed as I chewed on the skin which was coated with flavorful sweet spicy sauce. It's definitely different from KFC. It was not overly oily. We loved the wings more than the drumstick. The drumstick meat was bland and dry. Overall, i think the wings and drumlets, not the drumsticks, were the highlight. We also ordered a seafood tofu kimchi soup ($8.80). Based on menu description, it was supposed to contain squid, prawn. However, I only managed to find a miserable piece of prawn meat, not even a full prawn. There were a lot of tofus and kimchi instead. I was wondering if they made a mistake in serving the wrong soup. For more pictures and full review, please visit http://weekendeatwhatsg.blogspot.com/2013/07/bonchon-chicken.html 繼續閱讀

Public holiday and a long weekend. Headed down to Bugis area for shopping and dinner. Have not been there for quite some time...The Bugis+ which was used to be Iluma has become more happening with more shops and restaurants which are worth going in and giving it a try. Spotted Bonchon chicken at the first floor along the restaurant street. There were some groups of people having their meals there and all ordered fried chicken. Hmm, worth giving it a try. The chefs marinate the chicken with a special sauce which was Korean style. The front cover of the menu of Bonchon Chicken. They have franchise at various countries, now then I know. Haha! Utensils on the table. Wet tissue. A metal bin, for us to throw the chicken bones in. Cute. The highlight of the dinner: 6 wings + 2 drumsticks, this is the smallest portion. Additional rice at $2 each. For small appetite people, I guess just eating the chicken is enough. One bite on the chicken, it is really addictive. Ordered the non-spicy ones. Its a mixture of sweet and slightly salty, with the crisp in the mouth. Taste like korean chips? It's perfect. Much better than KFC. Considered the best chicken wings. We ordered scallion pancake which consists of scallop, prawn and squid. It tastes much like roti prata with minimal seafood fillings within. It tastes good with the teriyaki sauce on top. Quite filling too! The plate which they used to serve was rather special, look at the picture above. 繼續閱讀
