I ordered their Grilled Fish with Rice Lunch Set ($10++) which included a soup and main course. I was quite disappointed with their lunch set as I found the soup to watery and flavorless. The grilled fish with rice was also served cold and the fish was quite dry.Thankfully, the Peach Pannacotta ($4++) saved the meal. The smooth creamy texture was a joy to savour. The serving was also huge considering the relatively low price tag. 繼續閱讀

For pictures and full review, pls visit:http://madamechewy.com/2014/09/15/boston-seafood-shack/Boston Seafood Shack is a casual dining eatery serving classic seafood dishes in a fun nautical-themed restaurant. At the Star Vista branch, diners can choose to feast indoor or at the alfresco area. Service was acceptable, not the most friendly as it was a busy evening, but nevertheless efficient. We were ravenous and ordered heaps. There were more misses than hits and if not for the Groupon deal we purchased ($60 for $100 value), we’ll be quite upset paying full price for this mediocre standard.Best of the lot was the Mussels and Clams in Spicy White Wine Broth ($12), served in a cute mini casserole. The broth was flavorsome and robust with loads of diced garlic. The accompanying garlic bread marred the experience as it was hard and a little stale. For this price, it’s amazing value and I won’t hesitate to order it again. Diners can opt for just clams or mussels alone, which can also be prepared in Porcini cream sauce.Soft shell crab ($11) was too greasy and lacked crispness. Its intense lobster dip was a welcome change from the usual tartar or remoulade sauce.Slightly falling apart is the dry Crab Cakes paired with cocktail sauce. For $8, the amount of crab meat was reasonable.Quite disappointed with the Boston Premium Lobstah Roll ($14) as we were expecting the wow factor. Lobster chucks evenly coated with creamy mayonnaise hubbed between a lackluster bun.Fish and Chips fans will be glad to know that at Boston Seafood Shack, you can choose from cod, wild snapper or barramundi enveloped in a crispy golden batter for $14. While the coating was good, our cod was tasteless.Sides failed shine as well. All the fries were dry and plain salads desperately needed dressing.Another letdown was the Grilled Prawns ($14) – dry and bland! Finally, something gratifying! The Crabmeat Porcini Cream Sauce Pasta ($12) was doused in a light creamy sauce and crowned with a generous portion of succulent chunks of crab meat. This was only main course that lighted up our day.  繼續閱讀

Visted Boston Shack during their lunch hour and order for myself a 3 course meal in this new establishment. I love the place is brightly coloured with a strong sailor theme to reflect their food offerings. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available which ample amount of fans to make sure you never have a hot moments. Service is also pretty fast and we didnt have to wait for long to get our dishes served upThere is definitely a strong seafood flavour, which I thought was quite good. I am pretty sure they didnt make this from scratch, but at least it didnt taste like it was bad can soup. SGD 6.50The battered fish was definitely fried till crispy, however there was too much batter and the fish was obviously not fresh as there was a fishy aftertaste, my other colleagues also second that opinion; so definitely a thumbs down from me. The money would be better spent at Manhattan Fish MarketSGD 14Creamy with no distinct alcohol or chocolate taste, I didnt bother wasting my calories on it after 2 mouthfuls of itSGD 5VERDICTIt would be hard to convince me to give this place another chance given the experience, and that there are so much other better cafes competiting for that dollars in your pocket. 繼續閱讀

Visited Boston seafood shack on National's day. But it turns out to be quite a disappointing meal as some of the dishes we wanted to order are not available. Ordered the cod fish but it turns out to be normal.Seafood platter has 2 prawns grilled till dried, a overly marinated fish probably to mask the freshness(the lack of) and calamari rings too deep fried and salty.Although the ambience is nice with creative and colourful interior but the food quality needs to be improvised. Service is normal, one staff is attentive but the rest seems to be busy when the restaurant is not even full. 繼續閱讀

A rather beautifully designed restaurant, Boston Seafood shack reminds me of a beautiful toy factory. It's a great place for dining and chilling out with your friends! The lights are not too bright, granting a rather warmth glow when one enters. Both its' interior and exterior are rather intricate. It is indeed a rare sight to see a restaurant name in that sort of cursive font! Also, the windows shots are rather funny-looking.Under the list of premium batter fish & chips, we ordered a basket of Boston Seafood Bucket ($17).The basket contains calamari, prawns, oysters and fish & chips, and it was large enough to share between two people. We also added a "GO GREEN" salad ($6). It was actually just another name for coleslaw. Not only was it fresh, it was a great cold dish and a healthier option at that. One must be warned that the basket was really oily, everything was deep fried. The service was great when the manager took over. Apparently, the part-timers were quite blur.. 繼續閱讀
