Brunetti is an Italian cafe (or Roman Pasticerria) that interestingly started in Australia and has many outlets there now. It expanded internationally and now at Singapore's very own Tanglin Mall, we have a branch serving aromatic coffee, delectable-looking pastries and lovely gelato! The cafe's decor is rich in authentic Italian flavor and hues, transporting one to another world literally.I chose to try the Cappuccino (SGD$6.50) which had a lovely taste to it, as Italian brew goes.Although we were full from lunch, we just couldn't resist some pretty little desserts at Brunetti. Hence, it was a good thing that they have these dainty miniatures of the original cake slices. We had a mini Lemon Tart, mini Opera Cake and Mud Cake Mignon at a mere SGD$2.90 each. The Lemon Tart was pretty good - refreshing citrusy lemon curd surrounded by a crumbly crust that was light and fragrant with butter taste. The Opera Cake was pretty good as well, the almond and coffee gelled really well together to give the cake a sweet union of flavors. As for the Mud Cake Mignon, it was a little disappointing because the cake was very hard and dry in texture. The chocolate taste was redolent but the hardness of the cake did not sit well with us.For full review and more photographs, please feel free to visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2015/03/afternoon-tea-at-brunetti-cafe-tanglin.html查看更多

Tried their tiramisu gelato (small cup for $6.50). It was quite costly for the small size but portion was more of a medium size and would be good to share between 2 people. The tiramisu taste was rich but it was quite sweet. It would be near perfect if it wasn't so sweet as I really liked the tiramisu flavour and texture of it. The texture was soft in a good way, with an even creamy consistency. There were quite a number of flavours and I was spoilt for choice. I'll probably be back to try their other flavours and perhaps their cakes which look so pleasing. 查看更多

mushroom risotto $20.90: there was a distinct mushroom taste and the risotto was well cooked and moist. Mushrooms were soft and had an earthy taste. Portion was just right too.seafood aglio olio $20.90: The squid was quite tough and chewy and the aglio olio itself was rather oily and lacked flavour. The garlic was chopped too large too. However, I liked that the linguine was cooked al dente. I'd rather get pasta mania's aglio olio at a little more than a quarter of this price instead of this as it tasted mediocre. Come here for their desserts instead of their mains.查看更多

Brunetti Cafe is known for their vast array of pretty looking, absolutely delicious desserts of French, Italian and American origin, as well as their use of high quality, premium ingredients in their preparation.Brunetti Cafe brings together a luscious array of everything Italian in an enticing café space - a Gelateria, Cioccolateria, and Pasticceria. This all-in-one concept features a brightly lit, casual seating cafe, with both indoor and outdoor ambience. I especially love their huge dessert display case, with their colourful, mouth watering gelatos, macarons, cakes and pastries!Service at Brunetti Cafe is semi self-service, with ordering and payment done at the counter, though staff will serve orders to your table. I find staff to be friendly and professional, knowledgable in recommendations and the vast array of items on offer, as well as alert and quick to respond. Because Brunetti Cafe is an Italian style cafe, the majority of dishes and desserts are primarily Italian, though there is also a small selection of French and American style dishes / desserts. Generally, I find food / desserts here to be of very high quality, using fresh ingredients, and prepared with good skill from the chef. Prices naturally, are slightly high as compared to other cafes, but I'm willing to pay a little more for the quality! With over 25 different flavours of Gelato freshly made daily, ice cream lovers are spoilt for choice. Ranging from traditional flavours, to quirky creations like the Hello Kitty Ice Cream (SGD $6.50 Small), all the gelato here is made with premium high quality ingredients.I absolutely adore the Italian Hot Chocolate (SGD $6.50) here! Very thick and dense, yet smooth texture, the drink is rich and deep with the intense flavour of chocolate. I got mine without whipped cream for the pure chocolate flavour, and I daresay this is among the best Hot Chocolate in Singapore! The Butternut Pumpkin Soup (SGD $8.90) has a velvety smooth texture, and the fresh, creamy taste of butternut pumpkin. Love the aromatic flavour, and the crisp dipping bread paired well with the hot broth. Utterly satisfying.Despite the name, Chicken Scaloppini (SGD $19.90) actually refers to the Italian cooking method of thinly sliced meat that is sauteed, then served in a sauce, not the seafood / shellfish scallops. The meat is tender but still juicy, and the chicken and lemon jus sauce lends a nice tangy, savoury taste without being overpowering. The linguine aglio olio is done to perfect al-dente, with lots of fragrant garlic, and the cherry tomatoes are fresh, bursting with flavour when bitten. Excellent pasta dish!I loved the Tiramisu Cup (SGD $8.50), done almost in the traditional Italian style. This version is alcoholic, made with coffee liqueur, and has less ladyfinger biscuits than an authentic Tiramisu, with more cream. Still, this is an good rendition, and worth a try.Full Brunetti Cafe review here: http://ivanteh-runningman.blogspot.sg/2014/06/brunetti-cafe.html查看更多

for photos and more reviews, visit http://littlemomentsofmylife.wordpress.com (: brunetti is described as a cafe, pasticceria (pastry shop), gelateria (i'm sure you can guess this - gelato store!), paninoteca (sandwich bar), panetteria (bakery) and cioccolateria (chocolate shop) all in one.we came for their brunch, although probably high tea would have been better! their brunch menu was fairly limited in my opinion (considering how we were spoilt for choice at antoinette) but still, it was not bad! :) this time i ordered by favourite Silician Eggs Benedict ($12.90). after skipping my eggs the last time, i couldnt give it up again, could i? ;) it was so delicious! i loved how the luscious hollandaise sauce wrapped the wobbly poached egg which exploded with the runny yolk when i pried it open. it flowed all over the crispy baguette with italian ham and cheese. mmmm :)something unconventional i havent seen on other brunch menus would be the Italian Farmers Breakfast ($11.90) which was an interesting creamy polenta (a type of grain) with scrambled egg, sausage and truffles. it was a homely dish, but i felt that it could have been a little tastier. i couldnt really detect the flavour of the truffles :( but maybe it was because i took a really small mouthful.dad ordered the wild mushroom omelette ($11.90) that came studded with mixed herbs, mushrooms and cheese, served with rustic toast and sausage. the egg was wonderfully creamy and i loved how the cheese added another dimension of flavour to it! the sausage was nice and springy too.the italian pan eggs ($14.90) was such a cute dish! haha dont you think it looks adorable? ;) sunny side up eggs with bacon and tomatoes cooked in a cast iron skillet and garnished with fresh basil and black truffles xD yummy! the taste of the herbs was brought out delightfully, and we loved mopping up the egg with the garlic breadsticks that came on the side.last breakfast dish were the roma buttermilk pancakes ($9.90). topped with bananas and strawberries and drizzled with honey - comfort food!!i'm so silly. to think that i was so excited about trying brunetti's italian hot chocolate! but i didnt realise they had two types here!!! :( so instead i ordered the regular hot chocolate ($6.50) sigh sigh sigh :( such a waste! i really heard raving reviews about the italian hot chocolate, and brunetti is probably the only place in singapore where i could find it! well, this hot chocolate was alright, quite thick, but it wasnt the one i was looking for!!!we were so full already after all our food and drinks, but the entire counter of desserts was beckoning to us and we absolutely could not leave without trying something! we spent the longest time oogling at the desserts trying to decide what to order. everything just looked so good.first up, the Bacio ($8) was a dark chocolate and hazelnut bavaroise that looked absolutely gorgeous!!! but i think because it looked so good, i felt that the taste didnt meet my expectations? it was interesting, but not really what i expected. there was a combination of textures in the slightly thick chewy exterior which encased a soft chocolatey mousse within.i loved the simplicity of the new york cheesecake ($10) - can't go wrong with this! :)and finally, italian gelato <33333 because we wanted to try more than one flavour, we got the medium cup for $7.50 and got belgium chocolate and cookies :) it was smooth, creamy and so deliciously melt-in-your-mouth lovely :) if you can't decide on a dessert to get, skip the cakes and get the gelato. it was THE BEST.查看更多

A lunch date with a mentor i hadn't seen in a while due to our busy schedules. I just managed a morning run so i decided to have a proper lunch order instead of sweet treats. I picked roast chicken with herbed baby potates and a side of greens. This was my attempt at eating clean. The chicken skin... yes, i know. But that's really the best part. The breast meat was just too dry it was hard to swallow. :(The herbed potatoes were done just right and the greens blanched while retaining its flavour and colour. Sadly, the star of the mains was the sides done right.Maybe I should've stuck to the sweets. :(查看更多

Ordered a DIY salmon foccacia for $12 which was one of the more worth-it things on the menu. The foccacia came nicely warm and toasted, however although the service staff tried to be polite, they managed to get my order wrong on 2 counts - adding olive oil when I requested otherwise and not giving pine nuts which I ordered. Overall the meal was filling and tasty, but service could have been better if the staff were more attentive or offered a replacement sandwich after I commented on it when they were clearing up after my meal.Good environment for hi-tea and going out with a friend. Might come back but I think there are better cafes around at cheaper prices.查看更多

With all the Cronut craze going around, many patisseries had started to make their own versions of the viral dessert. Brunetti is one of the few that had already started the Cronut in local shores. On first look, the exterior of the Cronut from Brunetti has sugar coated and chocolate topping with flakes sprinkled on the top. The Chocolate Cronut ($4.50) here have a rather thin yet adequate layering of chocolate. The filling is a Chocolate mousse, however it was rather thick and rich in chocolate, though not cloying with sweetness. The Cronuts were quite soft and fluffy in the inside, but it tasted more like a donut in the interior with a flaky and slightly buttery exterior. There is also a bit of crispiness even though there is no crust on the exterior; much of it due to the sugar coated on the surface of the Cronut. Despite so, the sweetness from the sugar gave it another dimension in terms of flavour as it was slightly different in the sweetness created by the mousse. Being a fried dessert, it was oily, but seemed to be the least so amongst the other Cronuts I have tried. For full review, please visit http://thumbsforfood.blogspot.sg/2012/12/brunetti-tanglin-mall.htmlBrunetti originated from Austrailia and is well known for its desserts as well as coffee. It also serves breakfast menu where it's specialty breakfast set is available till 2pm. It also has an all-day breakfast menu as well as an all-day dining menu which serves main courses. When you step into the restaurant you would be greeted by a cozy ambience with rows of desserts, pies, pastries, gelato lining on the right. It makes me excited to see the different variety of food placed in glass displays. It just whets the appetite. Your will have to get your own seat in the restaurant and order straight from their counter. We didn't manage to catch the breakfast menu available till 2pm. However, if you get to Brunetti's in time for it, do try the Italian Breakfast ($14.90). It is highly recommended by my friend for its generous portion. We decided to order dishes from the all-day breakfast section as well as main courses. The food is pretty affordable with most prices ranging from $10 to $20+. Seafood Stew was one of our favorite dishes that day. It is served with two slices of bread and a handful of greens. The delicious thing was it's flavorful gravy and portion of seafood. The gravy is thick and most suitable to be eaten with bread. There is pasta that is inside the dish as well. I really like the pasta as it was well-cooked and thus have a good texture. Definitely a must-have when we visit this place again. Red Snapper was a recommendation by the waiter. The fish is served beautifully on the p[late which makes it look extremely appealing to the tastebuds. The fish was cooked well and fresh. What I really liked was that the fish complemented really well with the mushrooms, slices of fruits, olives and gravy that was served. It is really quite an appetizing and refreshing dish. The Yuzu Macaron I felt is quite special and it's yuzu flavor really permeated the shell of the macaron. The filling is chocolate that we felt complemented the yuzu flavor well. The Lemon Meringue Tart was highly recommended in online reviews. So, we had to try it for ourselves. I felt that the lemon feeling in the tart was good and went well with the meringue on top of it. The meringue wasn't too sweet which was good because I am not fan of sweet meringues. Do try the tart if you're there for desserts!Overall, we would be back for it's brunch before 2pm. The brunch here as quipped from a friend is one of the most affordable, good quality and generous portion. The mains has some hits and misses. For the desserts, we found it a bit too pricey in relative to it's other dishes. However, if you're a dessert lover, you'll sure be spoilt for choice in Brunetti. Lastly, they have a 1-for-1 promotion after 7pm from Sunday-Friday on selected desserts, pastries and stuff. So, if you're in the area, no harm swinging by to see what's on sale!查看更多

If you ever shop to Tanglin Mall, you probably won't be able to miss this Italian cafe franchise that is supposedly very popular in Australia. Though I've personally not heard of it before while I was studying in Melbourne. Anyway, it's located right beside one of the escalators that you need to take from the basement carpark to get to ground level. And every time I pass by the cafe, it's usually packed with lots of people. Some are there to enjoy a lazy afternoon tea, while others are there for the Gelato. The cafe's interior looks like one of those traditional Italian eateries with tiled flooring and walls. Like a typical Italian joint that you would find on the streets of Milan, don't expect much from the service. My experience with Italian service have been usually very curt and straightforward. We ordered a Smoked Salmon with Poached Egg Salad to share. The poached egg was rather well cooked and the hollandaise sauce was quite refreshing. It went really well with the saltiness of the smoked salmon. They also had a high-tea promotion going on. For just $9.90, I got myself a cake + coffee/tea set. The cake selection that they had was rather impressive. There were a lot of interesting flavours that I would have liked to try out. Well, in the end I ordered a Dolce Amore ($8) - strawberry mousseline with strawberry confit and coconut sponge. The cake is designed to look just like a strawberry and I thought it was rather cute and unique. The texture of the cake was smooth and soft, and the flavour of the strawberry was really strong! It was a little too sweet for my liking, but it was good to pair it with a cup of Latte. I usually don't add sugar to my coffee so the sweetness of the cake went really good with the bitterness of the latte.I'm not exactly a fan of macarons but my friends wanted to try some since they had quite a wide selection of different flavours to choose from. So we ended up taking the Strawberry Macaron, Vanilla Macaron and Tiramisu Macaron. Quite frankly, Macarons all taste the same to me. Sweet. Nutty. And crumbly. If there were macarons dipped in dark 85% chocolate, then that would definitely be something I would love to try!Lastly before we headed off, I got myself a Dark Chocolate gelato from the takeaway counter. The gelato was awesome. And the chocolate was extremely thick and rich. Just the way I like it. =D查看更多

Was craving for sweets and just wanted to come to Brunetti as I last visited them was months ago. There were too many selections and I was lost with I want to have and just thought maybe I will get the smaller version pastries so that I can try an assortment. Was disappointed with mostly all of them because they didn't taste fresh and detected the cakes havebeen there for more than a day. 查看更多

Replacing Oomphatico, Brunetti is an Italian style cafe hailing from Melbourne. As you enter, you are greeted, and a bit overwhelmed, by the array of gelato, pastries, cakes, macaroons and savoury items on display. It took me a while of pacing up and down the display cases, reading and re-reading the descriptions before I finally settled on the San Remo. The San Remo is supposed to be a combination of creamy lemon cheesecake with a raspberry center sitting atop a pistachio sponge cake base. The lemon cheesecake, which was more like a super creamy mousse rather than the dense cheesecakes I prefer, was not tangy enough and mostly just tasted sweet. The raspberry center tasted a bit too much like the stuff you get from jam bottles. The pistachio base was nice though. Perhaps I tried the wrong thing on my first visit (I heard their macaroons can rival those from TWG) so I may drop by another time - that is if I can get over the price and rather inconvenient location! 查看更多

15-20min walk from Orchard MRT to Tanglin Mall.from far, the restaurant/cafe will caught your attention with its black and white tiles of the Houndstooth prints... the glass panel fridge clearly displays all the cakes available and gelato too!good thing about their cakes/pastries, they come in two serving size, they have it in miniature and the regular size but not all of them.service crew @ the cakes/pastries counter acts very quickly, just like they know what they are doing... but customer are just flocking in from every side of the counter to order, to a certain extend you wouldnt know who is in queue.Piemontese (Halzelnut Cream Tart)Cafe Latte (Perfect cup of latte)San Remo (Good), Chocolate Eclair (Good), Lemon Tart (Not good)Pear Cheesecake Tart (Cheese was rich, can't really taste the pear, the Tart is too hard)查看更多

Brunetti is a newly opened cafe at tanglin mall which I just happened to stumble upon. I was very attracted to its deco which gave it a very contemporary feel. It was huge and had a variety of desserts; from ice cream to macaroons to even pastries. It wasn't overly crowded during the lunch hour but a queue was starting to brew up.I decided to try their ice cream this time round. "Medium" was entitled to two different flavors. I tried pistachio & yoghurt. I found the pistachio a little too strong for my liking but I absolutely loved the frozen yoghurt. It had just the right amount of sweetness but wasn't sweet enough to be sinful :)查看更多

This place sit at once Oomphatico was. Their sitting area is big and when I was there for my lunch, the place was fully occupied. I ordered a pizza with artichoke, mozarella cheese, ham, spinach and bacon and cost $10.90 a piece, can be shared by two persons. The crust was thin, crispy and light and overall was so yummy and their fillings were very generous. I enjoyed it very much and along with my pizza, I also had a latte and it was very good. It was creamy and aromatic and cost $5.00 a glass. They have a wide selections of food, pasta, pizza, pastries, coffee and gelato. Quite a impressive place with all these beautiful decorated artistic pastries in the showcase that I couldn't take my eyes off it!查看更多
