Cafe Brio's is located at the lobby level of Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, a distinctive cafe with a lovely piano and clean-cut counters offering international buffet with a heavy Asian touch to it.If one prefers, they could choose to sit outdoors and dine alfresco by the river and enjoy some breezes caressing their faces over their meals. It looks more electrifying at night, but we were there for breakfast / brunch - served between 6.30am - 10.30am daily. The spread was rather wide - ranging from the usual breakfasty stuff such as pancakes, yogurt, assortment of pastries, crispy bacon, hash brown , ham and cereal etc. The pastries were crispy and fluffy - fresh, and tasty. Then there were fruits, congee with ingredients on the side, eggs, baked beans, array of juices and some noodles. We had a rather balanced brunch, I must say.The food was good, and the music was soothing. The service crew was rather courteous, hence it made the dining experience awesome.Breakfast pricing per pax is SGD$23.00 for Continental delights and SGD$30.00 for American - go for the latter, there's more variety. For full review and more photographs, please feel free to visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2014/12/buffet-breakfast-at-cafe-brios-grand.html 繼續閱讀

A giant 15 feet Christmas Tree greeted me when I stepped into the lobby. Making a detour around it, I spotted a familiar figure--Mr Santa--resting happily in the goodie house and surrounded by his old friends, Mr and Mrs Gingerbread Men. The cheery festive spirits at Grand Waterfront Copthorne Waterfront were highly infectious and they definitely pumped up my appetite to indulge in the Yuletide treats at Cafe Brio's. Here are FIVE REASONS why this is a great location to wine, dine and be merry! Salads, live station, meats, desserts, etc. The Raspberry flavoured Grand Marnier and "Guanaja" Chocolate Christmas Yule Log Cake is a comfortable partnership of flavours but I wished the Grand Marnier flavour could be more pronounced. Nonetheless, the texture of the chocolate mousse is astoundingly velvety, just like the excellent Panna Cotta which I had previously at Pontini. Freshly made on the spot, the golden waffles with crisp browned edges and a tender, not-too-sweet interior is also worth a spot in the limited stomach space. Highly flexible to go along with any savoury ingredients like smoked salmon or sweet creamy ice cream. My foodie friend, Pauline won a pair of passes to Miss Tam Chiak Blog Party at Cafe Brio, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel earlier this month. She brought me along to the party and it was nice to meet Miss Tam Chiak in person and we even shared the same table. The high-tea session comprises of many local delights such as Nonya Laksa, Bak Kut Teh, Rojak, Nonya Kueh as some International fares such as Japanese Sushi and Western desserts. There is also an outdoor BBQ station. The colourful spread of sushi that they have. They don't have my favourite salmon sushi though. I had a handroll too. We can choose the ingredients that we want at this live station. The chef was very humourous. He said if we wanted everything in one handroll, he could do it for us too! Haha... Miss Tam Chiak's friend, Derrick (www.sgonfoot.com) was very nice to prepare rojak for every table. Thank you so much! Laksa Live Station I enjoyed my bowl of nonya laksa with cockles which was delicious with the rich and flavourful gravy. I had a plate of Nasi Lemak too.Outdoor Barbecue Station (Charcoal-Fired Grill)We don't normally see barbecue station in other typical high-tea buffet but be warned, this area was really like a burning furnace, very very hot here! Need to "suffer" a bit for your BBQ chicken wings, sausages, sweet corns and satay! Beef, Chicken and Mutton Satay. I ended off the session with a piece of sweet strawberry flan and for Pauline, she had ice-cream! A nice group photo with Miss Tam Chiak (Maureen)! Being the host of the event, she was seldom at her seat as she was busy going around to interact with her guests. Hope to have a chance to meet up with her again.Congratulations to Maureen and also thanks Pauline for bringing me along to this party! 繼續閱讀

I had meal at Cafe Brio, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. I was my first time at this place and the cafe was cosy. It was not crowded. I had the following for my meals : Citrus Salmon with Green Apples. The salmon was fresh and good well with the soury green apple. The next dish was the Butternut creamy soup with Boston Lobster. The soup was thick with butter cream and little scrip of lobster to go with the soup. The main course was the roasted duck breast and grilled quail served with potatos and baby vegetable. The duck is a red meat and the little carbohydrate is used to allow diner to finish it. The dessert served was chocolate pistachi mille-feuille sauterned wine jelly with Berries compote and lemon sorbet. A good meal is completed with little glass of wine and with chocolate. That is a wonderful combination of the menu. 繼續閱讀
